In 1872, the Broadgauge was built as central Illinois' original "mega store", containing under one roof; Hardware, Grocery, and Dry Goods stores.

Today, Broadgauge has been restored to its original architectural glory and redeveloped it into a Restaurant, Bar, Coffee Shop, and Event Center.

Enjoy dinner at Broadgauge, Wednesday through Saturday. We sere Lunch Friday through Sunday.

The Talisman Coffee Shop and Bakery is open Wednesday through Sunday.

Located at the heart of Petersburg's town square; near shopping, bars, and restaurants.

We had an anniversary lunch here and it was great! Perfect little Sunday afternoon outing. Food and cocktails were delicious and we had fantastic service. We need to come back for the dinner menu sometime.

Hidden gem. Excellent decor and ambiance. High ceilings and a great rustic look. The food was very good. The hot chicken sandwich is one of the best I’ve had.

Broadgauge is always a predictably pleasant environment with a wonderful atmosphere. The owner is often present and takes special notice of making sure patrons are having a great experience. It is our favorite “go to” for birthdays, anniversaries, special occasions. This time we had guests who ordered the barbecue special, and they loved it so much they asked to complement the chefs. Our party of six, all had positive comments from the cocktails to the entrees to the dessert ( tiramisu)! There was a special event that night upstairs, music bingo which was super fun! Lots of prizes too!!

Small town flavor meets big city taste. Visited this restaurant in Petersburg at a recommendation from a friend. Well, worth the trip. From the crab cake appetizer, soup, Beet salad, primavera and halibut every bite was delicious! Our server EVYN was Outstanding! Great personality and made sure that we were well cared for and satisfied with our meal. We will definitely be back to enjoy this small town and this restaurant’s great food and service!
