Briny Swine Chicago is a seaside-inspired smokehouse and oyster bar in the heart of Chicago's Lincoln Park neighborhood featuring Carolina-style barbeque, seafood and Lowcountry classics, served with a side of sass. It’s a local joint where friends and family gather to laugh and forget about life in the big city while they get in on some Southern hospitality and good eatin'. Rosé, bourbon, cocktails and beer are aplenty...and on a steady flow.

Whether you’re on vacation, passing by after a long day of work or catchin’ the big game, Briny is that place where all are welcome, from all parts, and no one cares about the rest.

Y’all, leave your worries at the door, take a seat, enjoy fine swine, wine and oysters while listening to the sweet sounds of rock, blues, jazz, bluegrass and honkey tonk.

The smoked turkey breast was really dry - which was really disappointing. The wings, however, were really tasty and enjoyed by all. I would recommend Briny Swine to others but wouldn't recommend the turkey breast.

Had the three meat plate. Ribs were barely edible. Overcooked, dry and barely able to get them apart. Gave up on the last two. Sausage was also overcooked and dry. Brisket was fine. And baked beans were very good.

We had the brisket sandwich with corn pudding(extremely dry and do not recommend), prime rib special(a little bland and would have gotten medium rare) with Mac n cheese(very good). Fried okra appetizer…very good and huge serving. The biggest complaint was the food was all lukewarm. We will probably try again.

Briny Swine really gives you the feel of an outdoor BBQ in the south! The openness of the space is amazing and the staff is welcoming from the moment you walk in the door. We've been wanting to stop by because when the windows are open we could hear the bluesy band playing and this really enticed us. The food is really good. We had the amazing fried green tomatoes, the yummy house oysters, and the smoky brisket. It was really delicious. To make it better, we had their frozen specialties - the frozen rose wine and a jalapeno mango margarita. Overall, a really great experience and we highly recommend it.

Very impressed! I think I was expecting some mishaps since they haven’t been open for very long but everything from drinks to food to service to vibes were a solid 4.5/5

Oh man, all I gotta say is you HAVE to get a meat platter. You have to try the pork belly and brisket my oh my! Delicious. Not only are the collard greens my favorite side but this batch is the tastiest greens I have ever tasted holy cow. The flavor of the collard greens stayed in my mouth and I just have to say overall this food is amazing. Baked beans were an hit with my partner. We also got the ribs, now the ribs came a little dry but! I truly believe that is not intended and maybe since I came towards closing…Either way! I am coming back every chance I can get. BRAVO BRINY SWINE!!!

I am so glad there is finally a restaurant sports bar that will probably last in this location. The food is down home, southern barbecue and seafood having grown up in Atlanta. I felt like I was back down there. We ordered several different appetizers all of which were excellent and quite yummy. I haven’t eaten Brunswick stew in years and this was absolutely comparable to the Brunswick stew that I used to eat as a teenager and young adult, the ribs were excellent with four different sauces and the sides were amazing. The service was excellent. The space is fabulous. I wish the owners the best of luck because this is a keeper. This is a neighborhood gem for all ages.

Professional and friendly staff; quick service; delicious food and great cocktails- a great indoor/outdoor vibe. It is a terrific addition to the neighborhood.

So happy there is something in this space finally!! We had such a good time here, definitely southern hospitality vibes. Lots of different kinds of seating and plenty of space, did not feel cramped in at all and it was a busy night. Our server was excellent and the bussers were on it - my water glass was never more than halfway. Whatever you do, get the chicken wings. The rub on them was fantastic and they were crispy and moist, not oily. Will return soon!
