Briny Swine Chicago is a seaside-inspired smokehouse and oyster bar in the heart of Chicago's Lincoln Park neighborhood featuring Carolina-style barbeque, seafood and Lowcountry classics, served with a side of sass. It’s a local joint where friends and family gather to laugh and forget about life in the big city while they get in on some Southern hospitality and good eatin'. Rosé, bourbon, cocktails and beer are aplenty...and on a steady flow.

Whether you’re on vacation, passing by after a long day of work or catchin’ the big game, Briny is that place where all are welcome, from all parts, and no one cares about the rest.

Y’all, leave your worries at the door, take a seat, enjoy fine swine, wine and oysters while listening to the sweet sounds of rock, blues, jazz, bluegrass and honkey tonk.

This was our second time at Briny Swine and we couldn’t be more happy with our dinner. The service is excellent and attentive. They were so kind and tolerant of our two young kids. All the food was great, but we especially LOVED the chicken wings. Absolutely delicious!

Blackened catfish with collared greens and grit cakes were incredible. Briny Swine is always a treat for low country cooking.

Briny Swine was a delightful experience! The staff was kind and helpful. Our waitress was personable, helpful, and attentive. All of the food we got was delicious. The stars were the east coast oysters and roasted oysters along with the wings. Totchos also completely crave worthy. The fried green tomatoes fell behind the pack, something was missing from them, but they by no means were bad. Just other items stood out much more. Additional, the pickle-tini imo could’ve used so much more pickle, but again that’s just a personal nitpick, not a knock on anything they’re doing!

Been wanting to try this new spot out since it opened and finally did. We ordered drinks and cornbread to start, both of which took quite a while to arrive. The cosmo was solid, as was the Sauvignon blanc, but the cornbread was somewhat dry and not warm enough to melt the butter. We put in our order for a full rack of ribs with the Mac n Cheese and tater tots. Again, this took a little longer to come out than we hoped. The sides were easily the best part of the meal, since the ribs were very tough and not as hot as we prefer. I wish the meat platter that I recall from an earlier version of the menu was available, as I’d like to give other entrees a chance, but unfortunately can’t justify spending the price for individual orders after this first experience. Overall, the atmosphere and space are quite nice, and some daily specials may entice me to try again. But for now, I’d recommend looking elsewhere for bbq.

Was perfect for a 12 person, mid-20s birthday dinner. Had sports on tvs and live music at 9pm. Food and service were both great.

Excellent. Had an incredible family style dinner by splitting oysters, meat platters, and sides for the table. If you’re just passing through Chicago for a weekend, the restaurant is also in a great location to check out other things nearby after treating yourself to the Briny Swine.

Meat wasn’t great, everyone’s stomach felt unsettled, we should have known, there were fly’s around our table when we were arrived. Our server was very nice but food was really unacceptable
