An excellent meal, served excellently by Chloe. I personally prefer a more cozy atmosphere but Bridgewater is a great dining experience.

We have been to Bridgewater on a few occasions and we must admit that we are not that impressed. The location is wonderful and the space is very well thought out and elegant. The service was as expected and met our expectations, however, the food is less than the quality we look for in returning to Milwaukee restaurants. One of our orders was for the T-bone steak which I think was a special menu item. Well, when I think of a T-bone steak, I think of a piece of meat that would be 1/2 inch thick cooked rare to medium rare with a good size bone in it. The piece of meat that was served was about 1/4 inch thick if that. The crazy thing was it was missing part of the bone. The T part was there, but the bone in the piece of meat was missing? It was almost as if the T-bone was sliced in half from top to bottom. For the cost of the item, we expected a much better choice of meat. Additionally, the meat had quite of bit of fat throughout it and was not tender and juicy as a T-bone should be. We probably should have sent the dinner back, but we rarely want to cause a problem and seem difficult. Our mistake. We may be back but to go to the bar for drinks only because being along the water is very enjoyable.

First time at this bistro, and it did not disappoint! The menu and wine list is compact, but still provides a great spectrum of options. The Goddess salad may have been the best I’ve ever enjoyed. Attention by the waitstaff was a bit light, but better that than smothering.

Chose Bridgewater for bday dinner weeks in advance & requested window table. Was so looking forward! There were open window tables when 1st guest arrived but we did not get a window. We still had a view but didn’t feel our request was read. We were not greeted or welcomed. Waited ~30 min for service at table or water & checked with hostess 2x (rude!) & spoke to Mgr. We did then get water but decided to leave as the vibe was killed and we did not feel good about our experience. Very disappointing.

We sat outside and it was lovely with the views of the river, the sunset, and lights above their outdoor seating. We only wish they had some fire heaters to help warm up the space. Our food and drinks were delicious, we had the burger and lobster roll. Our server was great, too! She was friendly, polite, and attentive. Parking was also super easy considering it’s located in Milwaukee, they have their own parking lot. Would definitely return.
