A beautiful, locally owned restaurant located in downtown New Buffalo, Michigan; Brewster’s New Buffalo puts a modern twist on traditional Italian fare. Our Chef uses a wide variety of fresh, innovative ingredients to create dishes. Our sommelier and bar manager take pride in curating the finest selection of liquor, beer and wine, including wonderful locally and Michigan made specialties.

We are open for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner every day, all year round! (Closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas Day)

Beautiful outdoor setting. Breakfast was very good! Our group had biscuits n gravy, hippie hash, the mess and bourbon French toast. All excellent ! Little short staffed but seems like it’s that time of the end of the season.

We went to Brewster last Sunday to try their breakfast and man were we happy that we did. Excellent breakfast great service.

Disappointed that the sausage appetizer is off the menu. We got put at a tiny table in the middle of where the waitresses came and went. The food didn’t leave a lasting impression. Our waitress was accommodating.

One of our favorite Al fresco dining places. Really hard to beat with good food and great atmosphere.

I am not sure , where to begin . This was our 5 th visit to Brewster in last 3 years . It was always very good experience over all but today was something different. Our waitress seemed too busy . We did not get appetizers and next thing we knew was main entrees on table . No explanation given nor apology . Enough white paper napkins were not there for number of people on table. We were given table in dark corner with spiral staircase . Some one went back and forth 2 to 3 times. Entrees cooked were mediocre. Pasta with marinara from children’s menu was like tomato sauce watered down on pasta . Our waitress did not seem to have time or was overburdened with work . She was always in hurry. We got cheque with gratuity 20% counted so we did not have option to give less gratuity . We were 4 adults and two children. I guess, when one is going to charge gratuity in an advance , there will not be an incentive for providing reasonable service . No one seemed to care whether our food was acceptable or not till very end of dinner. Take away , service, food and hospitality has drastically changed and it could be that today was busy day or something fundamental has changed or could be our color of the skin , which may be adding into the fuel ! Very disappointed. We will not be going again in future most probably .

My wife and I enjoyed an early dinner at 4 pm. On a beautiful day, we ate outside. The patio area is gorgeous with hedges and flowers creating a natural fence from outside traffic. Our server was warm, friendly and attentive. We ordered our go-to, the dinner for 2, a brilliant value for us at $58. I get soup , she gets salad & we share tastes, always fresh and delicious!! Then we get a whole pizza as an appetizer, half goes home with us. We then share an entree (shrimp alfredo) perfectly prepared and take half of that home. Btw, fresh bread w/ butter and olive oil accompany dinner. For a wonderful ending, we each receive a giant, warm cookie w/ whipped cream , to pair with your after dinner coffee. This hidden gem is our reason to come to New Buffalo every year, like a quick getaway to Italy!! The whole experience and food is an escape I recommend to families, couples and strangers!!
