Brentwood Grille is a modern American restaurant offering hand-crafted cuisine, an inviting atmosphere and a lively bar, with our goal being to provide a consistently superior dining experience. Located in Novi on Grand River just east of Novi Road, we pay homage to our past by keeping a number of the Steve & Rocky's signature menu items available to our guests

Our menu offers a selection of American classics using the freshest seasonal ingredients, carefully prepared by our experienced staff, including local favorites like the grilled ribeye steak, Chicken 'Cordon Blue', Lake Perch sauté with spinach & hazelnuts, Barbecue Ribs, center-cut filet, and the Brentwood cheeseburger with house ground chuck and brisket.

Met some friends for dinner on a Saturday night. My wife and I split a Caesar salad. Thank goodness we got the dressing on the side as it was too thick and had WAY too much garlic. I got the Chicken Cordon Bleu, which was tasty, but not CCB. It was 1/2 fried chicken breast with a heavy breading topped with a cream sauce and julienned ham, served over mixed vegetables and mashed potatoes. The potatoes were thin, but as I said other than that, the meal was tasty. I guess this is 'deconstructed' CCB? Not an improvement. My wife had the perch dinner which she said was tasty and our friends had the scallops which she said was good and her husband had the ribeye which he said was also good. We split (2) chocolate mousse desserts between us, which were quite good. My friend ordered a wedge salad, but the waitress did not hear him apparently. When he reminded her after we were half way through our salads, she brought it with his steak, which was disappointing. The service was not good. When our waitress introduced herself and we asked her how she was doing, as one does... she complained that it had been a LONG day, which set the tone for the service for the entire evening. She was clearly overwhelmed and we assumed at the end of a double shift, so I do not blame her - but the restaurant was udnerstaffed. At a well run restaurant, when that happens, the manager is helping where he can. I observed the person I assumed was the manager (he introduced himself to a number of tables, but oddly not ours) walking around and talking with guests and sitting at the bar watching TV talking with the bartender (while both my drink and my water glass were sitting in front of me - empty). The decor is a little haggard, our table was not stable... There were a number of things that are just not "right" about the restaurant. I chose this restaurant for our get together because of very good reviews on One Table, so I can only wonder if something has recently changed.

Everything was great except the service. Our server was terribly slow and inattentive. We waited for quite some time after being seated and finally had to flag someone down to get water and menus. Then we waited again for the server to come and take a drink and app order. The beer that was ordered never came, and after the app and wine were delivered no one returned to take our dinner order. After flagging someone down we ordered and finally had our meal, which was good, but dishes were not cleared after nor were we able to place a dessert order. When the check finally came we asked the waitress to wait a second so we could give her our credit card and she said " hurry, hurry I have 15 around the corner". We had indicated this was a birthday celebration for our daughter, and had spent over $250 on our meals and drinks, and were treated as an annoyance to this server - we expected better and will not recommend to others.

We were greeted and escorted to the table. Thanks for coming in. The waitress was great and was very efficient. She was very accommodating with our request to take a picture of our table and the photos came out great. It is one of our favorite places to go with our grade school group class of 1961 from 8th grade at St. Valentine’s elementary in Redford Township.

Nice dining room decorated lovely for the holidays. We were two for lunch. It was a light lunch crowd so the noise level was pretty much non existent. Our waitress, Sam, was attentive but gave us the space to leisurely enjoy our time. No rush. I had the Acorn Squash which is one of my favorite dishes at this restaurant. The soups are also outstanding. You won't be disappointed.
