Brentwood has done a very good job of maintaining the Houston’s experience including most of the favorite menu items. We had French dip, ribs, salad, and sushi. The food was 5 stars. The service was seriously lacking.

Jessica, spelled Yessica by n the receipt, waited on us again last night. There were more people in there than the last time we went, so we thought that was good. The only thing I don’t like is we have to ask for a napkin every time to go under our drink glass. She did bring us one, but commented before she left our table, that she would try to find some napkins. I can’t imagine a restaurant that doesn’t automatically bring you a napkin to go under your drink glass, because it will sweat on that wooden table & start slipping around. A nice restaurant like yours, should always provide a napkin to go under glasses!

Delicious food as always! Unfortunately service was slow tonight and it seemed to take quite a while for our orders to arrive at the table.

Went when they first opened and did not like the restaurant food so I wanted to give them a second chance. Heard they added the salmon appetizer from the old back on the menu so that brought me in. The salmon and toast points were not as good as the hillstone location But I would still give that a four. However, the Cobb salad was almost inedible. Soggy chicken and hot tomatoes so I would give that a one. They should’ve mixed the salad and put the chicken on top. Good service but at the price point charged should I be making those mistakes.

I was disappointed with the food overall. There was too much sauce on everything: ribs, fish, coleslaw. I could barely taste the basic ingredients. The ribs had a small amount of meat in proportion to the bones. We ordered a full rack of ribs and a companion of ours, who ordered a half, had roughly the same amount. A friend of ours ordered two glasses of wine, $20/glass. Way too expensive. The best thing was the baked potato which is hard to mess up. Service was great. Seating for 6 in a booth meant very little arm space.
