    One of our favorite restaurants in the city. Starters and mains are delicious. Service is friendly without losing their professionalism. We'll be back soon.

    It’s no wonder Bar Bravo won best new restaurant by Vancouver Magazine and was acknowledged by Air Canada’s En Route. The food, drinks and service all knock it out of the park. The clams are by far the most underrated dish on the menu. You won’t get anything like them elsewhere.

    My wife and I had been keeping an eye on the Instagram for a few months , and wanted to make the drive from Kelowna to try it. We were very excited. We tried everything on the menu besides a couple dishes. The salmon gravalax and the king salmon dishes were some of the best salmon I’ve ever come across. The passion fruit sashimi dish was fantastic as well. Our raw scallop dish was meant to be encased in foam and arrived at our table liquified, surely an ISI issue but still, some people notice these things. We ordered buratta , and the sourdough separate - and it is not listed that buratta comes with a full order of sourdough so we ended up with double bread. The buratta dish was basic , and forgettable, the octopus was what I was most excited about , I recognize that difficulty in achieving that texture in octopus and it was great but the bravo sauce with it was muted and totally flat. The gnocchi was sent back , maybe over worked ? Not sure either way it wasn't good. They covered it though. The scallops in the seared scallop dish were immaculately cooked. But the sou Choi and asparagus was sloppily cut and the huge chunks of produce took away from the refinement that were shown in some other dishes- flavour was fantastic though. Banana Dessert was basic. It was fine.. among the small cocktail list there were 2 grapefruit cocktails and 2 absinthe cocktails.. felt lazy. Lots of opportunity to utilize different ingredients for such a small list. Also having two coconut centred scallop dishes felt like the same. Service was absolutely fantastic. Server was knowledgeable, and attentive. Was really busy in there and service staff was killing it. At a 350$ price point for the two of us, I feel I am able to be some what critical. Probably going to explore some other options before going back, but it is certainly worth trying, even if you just go for the salmon.

    Hi there, we thoroughly enjoyed our dinner last night at Bravo (our first time). Yay! Shanti (not sure if the spelling is right?) our server was very friendly and knowledgeable. She gave us great recommendations on the wines and explained the dishes very well. My friend, the birthday girl, really appreciated the thoughtful touch of the small candle on our dessert. Btw, we found it help us SEE what we were eating! Coz, by then, it was kind of dark at 8pm inside the restaurant. Two things we'd like to mention: 1/the Seared Scallop dish, my friend wished the plate was hotter so the scallops did not cool off so quickly. Well, my guess was that it might be hard to heat up the lovely earthenware you served the Scallops in. I didn't mind it. Seafood do gets cold quickly. 2/The Big Salad portion was more than what we expected. Great! I personally found the dressing a tad much per the proportion of the salad. Coz by the time we were half way done, the greens got rather soggy and overly sour. The King Salmon Crudo was my favourite, loved that sharp, salty sensation when I took a bite. The Pistachio dip was just right, a clever spin on wasabi look alike! The maple ginger dressing brought the almost sashimi experience to a different dimension. Bravo! We also loved the dessert - apple and lemon tart - the sous vide apples were intriguing! Lastly, knowing you are more seafood focused, we wonder if you might venture into more meat options in the Fall/Winter? Thank you once again. We love to be back soon. Phyllis

    10/10 experience and you are NOT dealing with the typical “yaletown / coal harbour” crowd. Hidden gem and I hope it stays that way :)

    Wonderful dining experience. Appreciated all the detail that went into the dishes. Staff was very attentive. Overall 10/10!

    Exceeds all expectations for both food and service. Food was prepared with true care and highlights all palates. Drinks were imaginative and a true treat. Staff were welcoming and knowledgeable. Definitely recommend and look forward to visiting again soon.
