Nice variety of food. Service was excellent. Flavors very good, and portion good for price. Mussel pot is large enough to share. Will be returning in the future.

Food was just okay. We enjoyed the potato pancakes. No one in my group loved what they had as an entree. The kids hated the buttered noodles and refused to eat them and the mushroom pasta was very salty. The cocktails were not balanced. Tequila cocktail had too much lime and the Aperol Spritz seemed to just be Aperol and Club soda with no Prosecco. Staff and management (possibly owner) seemed to have an issue prior to our group arriving over who was going to take care of the table, highly unprofessional to have this disagreement in front of patrons. However, the server we had was pleasant and everything went well on her part as far as steps of service. The most appalling part of the entire experience was the manager sitting at a high top right next to our table watching a movie or show loudly on her iPad. She did not leave that spot throughout the entire meal. We could hear her iPad loud and clear. She didn’t get up to make sure service was running smoothly or to assist the staff with anything, she didn’t check on any of the guests either to ensure they were enjoying their experience. The table beside us watched their drinks sit at the bar while no one ran them to their table, then watched one of the staff proceed to taste their drink and adjust it before bringing it over to them. (In this case, an entirely new drink should have been made). Another guest sitting out front had to come inside and ask to pay their bill. After years of working in hospitality the way this place is operated made me cringe. We won’t be recommending or returning.

The layout is long and narrow. We were seated inthe back room,, but it was attractively decorated and noise level was less. All of the following dishes were considered excellent: Wiener Schnitzel, Pork Schnitzel, Chicken Schnitzel; potato pancakes; red cabbage; spatzle. Service was attentive even though restaurant was full. Wine by the glass features German/Austrian wines at a reasonable price. Food portions were generous. Overall, good value and service for tasty cuisine that is less commonly available.

We dined on Saturday evening after the Stakes. While it would have been understandable on a busy night for things to be a little chaotic, the service experience was intolerable. It took over an hour to just get our drinks, multiple servers approached our table with other tables’ orders, and one of our party was served dinner a half hour before everyone else at the table. There were no apologies (everyone was avoiding eye contact the whole evening). The quality of the food was good, but until they get a new manager, I would definitely avoid in the busy summer months (there are too many far better options in town).

Veal schnitzel with spätzle was very good, cold salmon appetizer now an entree (was an appetizer), same size (but more $!) also pretty good. Waitress was very friendly but not terribly up to date on her wines, though she told us (and several other tables) that she was a sommelier. All in, a good experience on a crowded Belmont Saturday night.

One of the best dining experiences I’ve had in years. Staff was attentive,friendly, knowledgeable and the food was fantastic. On such a busy weekend, they really hit a home run!
