    We had a set menu as part of an overnight stay. Service from as soon as you arrive and taken to your table is excellent, the team are very efficient, friendly and know their stuff. Tables well spaced out, so not listening to others conversations. Wait time from ordering and between courses was just right. Beautiful location and setting. Our experience was excellent in all areas and would recommend the Brasserie at the Manor.

    very bad service, kept waiting for long periods Inattentive staff, almost robotic and did not explain why the service was so bad until we complained when we waited nearly 30 minutes for drinks and starters. We did not want to stay at the brasserie for dessert as we had already been there 2 hours and left after our main course! Awfully disappointing as it was our wedding anniversary, also poor value for money

    Lovely to evening meal after a spa day. Disappointed that even at the start of the night some of the options were unavailable. Service was so so and not that attentive eg steak knife not provided for steak until asked and then plates not cleared for ages. We didn’t wait any longer for the dessert course and paid and left. Food quality for the lamb and steak was good.

    Not as good as my last visit food was lovely but service wasn’t good the table cloth had a hole in it waited quite a while for the tea to arrive . Dress code I don’t think they have one as some guests had gym shorts on and a hoodie they seemed either short staffed or just disorganised. Won’t be rushing back

    Our first snd main courses were very good. Sadly our pudding was much less so. It was summer pudding but we had to wait around 40 minutes for it and when it came it was over-sweet, the fruit too syrupy and the bread still distinctly white bread. The juice of the fruit had not been allowed to soak into the bread and permeate and soften it as it’s meant to. We think the kitchen/waiting staff had forgotten our order and it was as if the pudding had been hurriedly assembled.

    On the whole the food was good but overpriced. £14 for a tiny portion of cured trout and £28 for a fairly small piece of monkfish, which was described as being accompanied by clams; there weree only 3 clam shells on the plate, one of which did not contain a clam. The sauce with the fish was good. 4 cheeses were named on the menu for the cheese course, but it was not immediately clear that only one cheesewas included in the price and there was a supplement oif each additional cheese chosen.

    Good choice on the menu and they were able to accommodate dietary requirements. The portions are on the small side and you have to order/pay extra if you want vegetables or carbs (potatoes). The service was attentive but food was slow to arrive.

    We had a great time at Eastwell Manor for afternoon tea. This was booked as a birthday treat and the food was lovely and presented beautifully. The wood panelled room was beautiful, chairs comfortable and inviting. There were only three other groups of two when we visited so the noise levels were low but given the size of the room and amount of tables, some of which could fit at least six people, I would imagine this could get loud at peak times. Whilst the food was lovely, the service was slow. The waitress was alone which lead to a slow service. We had pre-booked a time slot but this didn't seem to make the process any faster. Even though I had paid online, when we came to leave we were asked to pay the 'optional' gravitas. We opted to remove this as we don't believe it should be added as a rule and should be given as a courtesy for good service. Unfortunately this being at the end is one of the memories which sticks so therefore we won't return. Information on parking or where to arrive wasn't clear on the website or booking email either so we ended up parking much further away than needed and walking.
