Named by Robb Report as one of the Top 10 Best New Restaurants in the country, Brasero combines South American passion with midwestern grit and brings Chef John Manion's talent for wood-fired Latin cooking to West Town’s bustling restaurant row. This sultry 120-seater draws inspiration from across Latin America, honed through Manion’s decades of experience. Think flame- roasted, whole young chickens slicked with garlic-chili oil, steaks cooked over an open fire alongside chimichurri, and moqueca teeming with mussels, shrimp & Mahi Mahi with coconut-scented rice—all washed down with quenching caipirinhas, locally brewed, Latin-inspired beer and 100 bottles of wine under 100 dollars.

    Theres only 2-3 main dishes, servings are small, its a tight fit, tables very close together, I was under the impression that it was a steakhouse, that was my mistake. Its seafood mostly. The ambiance is intimate and looks nice, the food is either a hit or miss, idk if id come back🤔

    We had a largely party with several dietary preferences and allergies. The Brasero staff was super accommodating and helpful. Food is great! Particularly loved the moqueca, the sweet potato, and the pao di quiejo. Our group is also obsessed with soft serve ice cream which was also very good. The sparklers are a fun touch. Can’t wait to be back!

    Absolutely DIVINE entrees! Think I’ll be dreaming about the Wagyu steak for weeks! And the oysters were TO DIE FOR!! The plantain-cashew topping took it over the edge for me!

    We got the whole grilled snapper the cheese bread, and the ceviche. Everything was absolutely delicious. Definitely get those.

    The food was everything that it was advertised to be. The layers of flavor in every dish put me in mind of the food at Giant, even though the dishes themselves were not similar to Giant's at all. The only hitch was an otherwise delightful server who disappeared a couple of times. A wonderful restaurant and I can't wait to return and try more items!

    Our first time there. We had the heirloom tomato’s, summer squash, and the swordfish. All were excellent. The him old fashioned was excellent, as well as the Pais. Looking forward to going back to try the rest of the menu.

    My second visit in less than a month. It was so good the first time that I wanted to bring friends visiting from out of town. They loved it!

    The food was amazing. I was a bit disturbed. Upon arrival, I was told by the host they were running a bit behind, and I could have a seat at the bar until table is ready. Subsequently, a party of 3 walked in behind us and was escorted immediately to their table. I scanned the restaurant and noticed 4 empty table one being the 2nd booth in the middle, which we were finally seated. That was a bit strange, and I guest the host noticed the look on my face from what I had just witnessed she took us to the empty booth. I was recommended to this place by Tre at El Che and had I hope of receiving the same service I received when I patronized EL Che.
