Named by Robb Report as one of the Top 10 Best New Restaurants in the country, Brasero combines South American passion with midwestern grit and brings Chef John Manion's talent for wood-fired Latin cooking to West Town’s bustling restaurant row. This sultry 120-seater draws inspiration from across Latin America, honed through Manion’s decades of experience. Think flame- roasted, whole young chickens slicked with garlic-chili oil, steaks cooked over an open fire alongside chimichurri, and moqueca teeming with mussels, shrimp & Mahi Mahi with coconut-scented rice—all washed down with quenching caipirinhas, locally brewed, Latin-inspired beer and 100 bottles of wine under 100 dollars.

MENU: Dive into Pao de Queijo and Endive Salad to start and our signature Moqueca before taking on our 48 oz Bife Maximo. Our Coal Roasted Sweet Potatoes and seasonal vegetables that will keep you coming back for more before finishing off your intimate dinner with our infamous Coconut Soft Serve. PLEASE NOTE: Parties of 6-10 can only be booked as hearth table experiences. THERE IS A $30 PER PERSON DEPOSIT THAT WILL BE USED TOWARDS FINAL PAYMENT.     Food was good! Nice decor and overall vibe. Service a bit slow, not in food delivery but in server paying attention to our table.

    The place was jumping - we were about 20 min late for reservation It wasn't a problem - I did call and let them know we were running late. The starters were very good we had the Oysters and Quail. The Snap Pea salad was outstanding Main Courses: Wagyu Picanha and the Grilled Sword Fish. The steak was cooked Med Rare smoky, good char, and rich was just a bit on the dry side. It wasn't cheap. The Sword Fish was very good served on a smoked eggplant puree and topped with a rustic tomato Mediterranean bruschetta. Drinks were tasty but took a little while - Our server was Dane, she was very nice helped with recommendations and was knowledgeable. And the back staff is outstanding, water always filled - why is this a lost art in the restaurant biz? Food runners were on top of their game. Except for drinks taking a while the only other complaint I have is - OpenTable has a special occasion tab that you can check it was my girlfriend's birthday - I checked the appropriate box and even repeated that was my girlfriend's birthday when I confirmed my reservation. I wasn't expecting any thing special just an acknowledgment would have sufficed. But I will be back, there are ribs, whole fish and pork chops to try!

    Food was excellent. We had the picanha, the whole fish, moqueca for dinner. They were all fantastic. Our server was spot on and gave us time to enjoy our food and time together. Highly recommended.

    one of the best meals i have had in chicago. i love the ambiance. we sat at the bar and it was great! i went during happy hour and recommend going during this time and trying the small plates , i will definitely be back. also the coconut soft serve was delicious and i don’t even like coconut

    Really an outstanding meal in a beautiful environment and reasonably priced given all that we tried. The homemade tuna ceviche with plantain chips was exquisite, the snap pea salad was recommended by our server and was my favorite item, the coal roasted sweet potato was OMG good. I'd probably not order the ribs again, just a tad messy and just OK. We had the soft serve coconut ice cream with chocolate which was divine. There were quite a few bar seats, I'd definitely go there again even by myself. Really really good.

    Great food and service , the food wasdesert had so much flavor! Highlight of the meal!! It was a loud experience and even so the lively experience was pleasant
