First time eating here for my wife's birthday. I have eaten at most every steakhouse in Chicago and NY, and Bowdie's has that same type of menu and vibe. They are close on the quality of the food. We sat in a booth that could hold 6, but would have preferred the back room as the room we were in was very loud (bar crowd, music, tv's). Be prepared to take out a second mortgage when you eat here as everything is expensive and ala carte. Jordan was our waiter and very knowledgeable as he started with the company at their original Michigan location. We started by ordering a bottle of the Rabble Zinfandel ($60), which comes per glass as well ($15). Bread and butter was brought to the table, but the bread was not hot. We ordered a bowl of cream of crab soup ($14), grilled caesar salad ($14) which Jordan suggested splitting and glad he did as it was a large salad. There was a lot of shaved parmesan, so heads up, otherwise it was very tasty. For the main course we split the 10oz. filet ($62) and the au gratin potatoes ($14). The steak was requested as medium rare but was cooked more as medium. We took home half of the potatoes and they were delicious. We were offered a complimentary dessert to take home with us for the birthday girl (that was strange). The final bill with tip was $220. Service seemed to be a bit slow, even though there were many servers/employees working that night. I would recommend Bowdie's for a special night out, but be prepared for the sticker shock.

Best food we had on the island. Great service. We ordered the Kansas City steaks, the filet mignon and the salmon. We also got the burrata and shrimp cocktail for appetizers. Everything was excellent. The hostess and the server were friendly. Everyone was accommodating and the ambience was perfect.

The service was excellent as was the food. The only warning I would give you is the shrimp cocktail is very spicy! They drizzle wasabi on top of the cocktail sauce. The filet and cowboy ribeye were spot on!

So happy to hear you enjoyed everything! Service and quality are our top priority! I did just want to respond to let everyone know that our cocktail sauce is made with plenty of horseradish and the green sauce is commonly mistaken for wasabi because of the horseradish spice. The green sauce is a watercress puree and has no spice in it at all. Next visit, let your server know and we will be happy to tone down the spice in our cocktail sauce for you! Excellent steakhouse. One of the best steaks we have had in a long time and we eat out all the time. Definetly split things. Portions are huge and sharing is encouraged by the staff.

Excellent restaurant. Highly recommended for the food, service and ambience. Bone marrow apps are huge and tasty. Aged steaks are very good.

They encourage sharing a meal so don't be scared off by the prices. Figure half for the food and I'm a bigger eater. With that said the server, the food, and the ambiance were all great. We had a loud talker at the table next to us but it was okay. I would definitely go back if I'm in the area again.
