   The restaurant was very nice, with an antique atmosphere that's well-suited for large groups, and the food was decent.

   Server was not great, way too long to get a water or even be greeted. Even longer to order and get food.

   I love the architecture of this place – Our server was very helpful and attentive all night he definitely save the night; The fried Oysters were amazing as well as the corn and crab soup, I had the Red Fish it was OK, my wife order the Blackened Fish and it was terrible a little portion of the fish and it was quite mesh. They took quite a long time to deliver a whisky that I ordered and they finally came to inform me that they did not have that particular brand ask for another brand and again it took a long time. Value for the money not great, I definitely not recommend this place.

   Absymal, horrendous, unacceptable on every level. We have dined at the Bourbon House for Lundi Gras for many years now. It has become a family tradition. That tradition ended with this visit. We requested a window seat as we do every year. We were told we could be seated in the bar. That was not acceptable as the chairs were backless. We agreed to a table without a view and it only got worse from there. The dining room was by no means full. It took over 20 minutes for our server to even acknowledge us then another 20 to receive the drinks we ordered. That was only the beginning! We ordered a seafood platter as an appetizer to split between 6 of us. The platter has 3 pieces of smelt (trash fish), 3 shrimp and maybe 2 oysters. We have had this before and it was not sparse like this. 3 of us ordered the BLT salad add chicken. After a lengthy discussion about the dressings our salads came out with no dressing. The description said Bibb lettuce and it was a bowl of iceberg lettuce ( which I am allergic to). My daughter ordered a soup. When it arrived she did not see the spoon hidden under the bowl and asked for a spoon. The server said she’d bring one. She never did. Only after expressing our disappointment about the meal to the manager did the manager point out that the spoon was under the bowl. Another guest didn’t receive his entree until we called the manager over to say he hadn’t. Then he was served a piece of fish with huge boiled unseasoned potatoes as a side. Who does that? What a disappointment!

   We visited 10 years ago and loved it. Couldn't wait to return. The food is wonderful and the Bourbon Milk Punch is my husband's favorite. My husband found a ting pearl in an oyster. They even gave him a birthday card signed by several of the staff. Such a special place. We will always have great memories of our visit during Mardi Gras.

    The $24 hamburger was smaller than a BigMac. We had put in the request that it was a 12 year olds birthday but that was not mentioned. To be fair maybe that is open tables fault. Don’t go if you are really hungry.
