Food was excellent so will certainly visit again. Service also great too but as restaurant was full a little slow but no issues there. Excellent value for money. Only slight draw back for us who were looking for a romantic venue was the noise from other diners. Solid wood floors and stone walls make sounds reverberate. It is on three floors so will try again but not at weekend and see if they have any cosy corners.

This is a great wee restaurant in Hexham, well worth the journey from out of town. Great menu, prix fixe or à la carte. Food is splendid and service very pleasant and efficient. It is the nearest thing to fine dining that is easily accessible nearby. It is one of the few places in the region to which I would take my wife for a sophisticated lunch. Thank you.

Bouchon is truly a French bistro dining experience in rural Northumberland. Whether lunch or dinner their standards of food and service are absolutely superb.

Really disappointed with service which led to us leaving without eating. Two of my party got drinks I was initially not asked if I wanted a drink. Water for the table was warm and had no ice. I had to wait 15 minutes before I had to ask for a menu which was a scruffy and dog eared two sheets of stapled A4. Observation of other diners saw mains just about eaten before vegetables were brought out. You’ve staff members were running around like headless chickens without instruction or direction which added to the overall impression of a chaotic service. No thanks.

First time we've visited this restaurant and it will definitely not be our last. Service was excellent and so was the food. I tried the calfs liver and it was beautifully cooked. We sat outside on the terrace and felt we were on holiday. The staff are lovely and friendly.

We made a special trip to Hexham and stayed overnight to fully do justice to the Bouchon and its food. Once again, we weren’t disappointed. The food and service were exemplary. We will return…

Birthday lunch for my wife. Really nice staff and the food was delicious. We weren’t rushed and the timing of each course was perfect. Couldn’t fault it
