BOUCHERIE is a traditional French brasserie and steakhouse, celebrating Joie de Vivre in the heart of West Village. The restaurant prepares a menu of French classics and timeless bistro favorites, in addition to the dry-aged steaks. An absinthe-inspired bar offers classic drinks, signature cocktails and craft beers. Located in the building that used to house the prominent Circle Repertory Theater, the 320-seat restaurant provides a diverse array of dining options from the spacious dining room, a seat at the butcher counter, the intimate second-floor gallery with private dining and outdoor cafe. Boucherie has adapted to the current environment to make the dining experience safe for guests and staff.

We love coming back here! The ambiance is always amazing and the service is great. It always makes me feel like we are back in Paris. The food is spectacular and the drinks are delicious. Definitely will be back many more times!

While good overall, uneven experience. Undecided on entrees, we tried to place an order for appetizers to start but told we had to order everything at the same time - weird. Before serving appetizers, asked if done with bread and took away - odd. And when sharing dessert, gave us 3 spoons but no small plates for sharing. While not major faux pas, i did, however, got annoyed when I got the check, looked up, and saw the waitress standing over me waiting for me to pay. Standing over a customer is simply rude. Do they expect me and my party to make a run for it? It's the little and subtle things that can make the experience. Sadly, their wait staff didn't deliver. Food was mixed. While appetizers (escargot and octopus) were excellent, can't say same for entrees (steak, coq au vin and chicken paillard) which were good but unexceptional. Based on ratings, was expecting better. The place, however, is eye candy and the ambiance charming. If on date or looking for trendy place, will be impressed. Doubt my opinion matters to mgmt (place was full) but if love amazing french food over ambiance, better options such as L'Osteria on upper east side. And, while not as fancy and smaller menu, Le Parisien Bistrot in Murray Hill also delivers. In the area, enjoyed Bistro les Amis' food but less trendy option and dated decor. Wish could recommend boucherie in west village, was hoping for amazing but found uneven. Depends on what's important to you.

From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere at this French bistro oozes sophistication and charm. The escargot were perfectly cooked, and the coq au vin was rich and flavorful—an absolute standout. The service was attentive, and the wine list complemented the meal beautifully. A true taste of France in the heart of the city.

If you're looking for top-tier French cuisine, look no further. The duck breast with orange sauce was sublime, and the crème brûlée for dessert was the best I’ve ever had. Every dish felt like it was made with care and passion. The wine pairings were spot on, and the service was impeccable. Highly recommend!

This quaint little gem offers a lovely, intimate dining experience. The pâté and baguette were a perfect starter, followed by a delicate Sole Meunière that melted in your mouth. The ambiance is warm and cozy, and the waitstaff friendly without being overbearing. Perfect for a date night or a special occasion.

A modern twist on traditional French dishes makes this place stand out. The foie gras appetizer was wonderfully rich, and the roasted lamb was a tender, savory masterpiece. While the prices are on the higher side, the quality justifies it. An upscale spot with fantastic food and a chic vibe.

Lovely spot for a lively brunch! Food was delicious and service was just the right amount of attentive. Main level is bright and boisterous; upstairs is a quieter, cozier spot.
