BOUCHERIE is a traditional French brasserie and steakhouse, celebrating Joie de Vivre in the heart of West Village. The restaurant prepares a menu of French classics and timeless bistro favorites, in addition to the dry-aged steaks. An absinthe-inspired bar offers classic drinks, signature cocktails and craft beers. Located in the building that used to house the prominent Circle Repertory Theater, the 320-seat restaurant provides a diverse array of dining options from the spacious dining room, a seat at the butcher counter, the intimate second-floor gallery with private dining and outdoor cafe. Boucherie has adapted to the current environment to make the dining experience safe for guests and staff.

Boucherie is always a good idea. Every single dish was amazing. We had multiple appetizers and 2 mains, everything was great.

Americanized version of French bistro fare. That's not exactly a complaint, but it's good to be aware, e.g., that the onion soup will be the American, goopy, full-o-cheese version, not the more restrained French original. Overall, the food was competent, and my only complaint on this score would be the price:value ratio, which is mediocre, as prices are elevated. What would most make me hesitate to return would be the booming disco background, pretty annoying even after I got them to turn it down a hair.

Food is AMAZING! We had stake and fries and pork with mushroom sauce. We enjoyed our cream brûlée. Our server Lola was great and she is really knowledgeable. Great recommendations. We will be back. Love this place.

The atmosphere was warm and inviting, the service was impeccable, and the food was absolutely delicious.The staff’s attention to detail and genuine hospitality made the evening even more special. I can’t wait to return—this place is a true gem!
