I thought this restaurant had a nice vibe with excellent food. I enjoyed the chicken parm. I would return for another casual solid meal!

Our server JD elevated our experience because of his amazing energy and recommendations. The clam pasta was delightful and their pizza is excellent. The calming ambiance makes it a perfect spot to catch up with friends or go for a date night.

Disappointing food at a price range where the discerning person would expect more. Fish dish (branzino) was over cooked. The gnocchi were pretty bland. The buratta salad was the only dish out of the 8 dishes we ordered that was actually tasty. Won’t be back, unfortunately. It’s a shame because we eat out pretty often and we were hoping to find at Botte a good place we could go to around the corner from our home.

This is a solid good-not-great place, with a nice location on First Avenue (not the mayhem of Second), good service, and a house brand of OK wines. The tastes of the food are sometimes imbalanced, be it the garlic that’s not sautéed to the right extent, the casual overdose of pepper, or the inadequate boiling of thicker pasta— far less than a charitable al dente designation.

We were very pleased at this Italian in our neighborhood. Fresh pastas and ingredients. Attentive and kind service. The food is solid classic dishes. Will return.

Meh. It was OK. Nothing terrible. Nothing fantastic. Just OK. The food was good... but not great. Service was a bit slow. We had a party of 6 and I chose Botte UES because it was a mid point location and the menu looked like there was something for everyone in our party. It was fine but nothing special nor spectacular.

Botte is an above-average UES Italian restaurant. Front area has a warm and stylish ambience; rear area for large parties much less so. Our server, Nick, was excellent and our son enjoyed speaking with him in Italian. Those in our party who had the Pollo al Mattone, Fettucine alla Bolognese, and 12 oz. NY strip steak all reported delicious meals. The unusual pancake-shaped Pollo alla Parmigiana, though, needed more sauce. Prices are NY-reasonable. Overall, a satisfying experience.
