The excitement and anticipation that comes with growing vegetables, and creating innovative plates is translated to our guests through our menu.

The plant to plate narrative is at the centre of what we do; our chefs show our local organic farmers a nod of respect towards the passion and patience required to grow a plant, in each dish they create. The seasons dictate our menu, with passion, flavour and creativity at the heart of the operation.

This passion flows through our love of organic, and low intervention wines from small producers, carefully selected and paired with our food.

Our very own indoor vertical farm is our most recent dedication to sustainable practices, allowing us to grow our own bespoke exotic herbs and aromatics for our hyper-seasonal food and cocktail menus, with zero food miles and incomparable flavour.

I was looking for a plant-based brunch so that I could have a catch up with my daughter. The food was delicious. The service was exceptional; warm, friendly and made excellent recommendations.

Botanique is a vegan restaurant, and as i am not vegan, i do not consider myself 'qualified' to offer an opinion on the quality of the food. Instead, i will offer some observations, which may or may not be relevant to prospective visitors to this restaurant. The restaurant itself is very nice and the stuff were helpful and friendly. But the first thing that struck me, was the very limited menu. It literally only listed two options for the main course. Secondly, i thought that the price of drinks was very steep indeed. For example, a bottle of Prosecco was listed a £48 which to me seems excessive. Now for all i know, £48 may well be the going restaurant price for Prosecco in Brighton, as indeed might be such a limited menu in vegan restaurant's but it just seemed a little odd to me.

Had a lovely evening. We were expecting a little more dressy atmosphere but you can turn up quite casual. The decor is beautiful. The staff are very attentive and helpful. They were accommodating of my allergy with the set menu. We had a great time and would go back

Great hopes for this restaurant as it was a birthday celebration, however despite having good flavours in most of the food, it was salty and not sufficient to fill anyone. The portions were tiny and at least 3 of our group are athletes so very hungry when we left. The selection was 2 main dishes and extremely expensive. Very disappointing, I won't be back.

Food was delicious and staff friendly. Unfortunately the menu had just changed and there was only a choice of 2 main dishes. Last time the menu was much more extensive.

I had a birthday dinner here last night and it was so special. Front of house were down a person and we couldn’t even tell! Our servers were incredibly kind, explained dishes beautifully and really took care of us. Food was PHENOMENAL! My friends and I were in food heaven.. we couldn’t believe the flavours and presentation. Thank you Botanique for a most wonderful evening, I couldn’t recommend this place any more!!! Can’t wait to come back.

Quite a disappointing experience. We ordered the "Medley", which was just a simple plate of roasted vegetables, with very plain flavour and texture - quite similar to the average side someone would have on a home-cooked Sunday roast. The price of that dish was £ 18, which felt preposterous. The waiter asked us how it was and we politely shared the truth. Although she acknowledged it and thanked us for the feedback, she actually did nothing to improve our experience. A few minutes later she sent someone else with the bill, which included the full price of every item we ordered and a service charge. For the same price range it's possible to find much nicer vegan restaurants.

I have been to Botanique many times and this was the very first time I've been disappointed. The menu has become very expensive with less choice and flavour. The cheapest bottle of wine was £39 and the choice of dishes has been reduced dramatically. I used to enjoy the larger variety of tapas style dishes that always took you on an amazing taste journey. The dishes we had this time just lacked anything wow. The explosions of flavour that were ubiquitous before, were virtually missing. The bill came to over £210 (2 of us were teetotal) I realised that the value for money has gone and I can no longer afford to eat here anymore. What a shame.

My first time at Botaniique and definitely won't be my last. Incredible food, absolutely beautiful room and service. A must when in Brighton!
