I do not eat meat, only good, usually Alaskan, fish. So when my cousin wanted to try Boston Fish Market, I said, OK…hesitatingly - because I read so many mixed reviews. I am sorry we ever made birthday reservations here. BTW - I paid for my own slice of birthday cake! Both my cousin and I ordered the halibut with the usual sides. I especially asked for mine to be with butter and lemon sauces, not olive oil, and was told they do not use butter there! I also carefully requested it be medium done, NOT well done. What a disappointment. The lack of any presentation for a $40 dinner was appalling. A huge slap of halibut, MUCH more than even two people could eat, was simply laid on a white plate…overdone and absolutely tasteless, not butter but two slices of lemon. Yuk. One a separate large side plate was the typical mix of very over-done Greek green beans with tomatoes, Greek potatoes in olive oil and certainly NOT the “wild rice” as the menu and waitress described, but a huge spoon of white rice with perhaps a dozen pieces of wild rice mixed in. What a disaster and insult. I do not eat white rice nor over-cooked, mushy veggies. A total disappointment and anger at being charged so much for less than mediocre food, I don’t care how large the portion of fish was. And the presentation was zero! We did decide to splurge and order the mussels in wine sauce and they were very good and this appetizer was large enough for three people. The bread we were early served was not even warm, however. It was hard - thank goodness for the sauce with the mussels for dunking! When I made the reservations I mentioned it was my birthday. but, as I mentioned, when ordering dessert — nothing was said and I paid for my own cake. I certainly was not going to embarrass myself and ask for free cake at a restaurant charging as much as you do….for basically Greek food. Psitaria is 100% better. A $170 plus tip. Never will return. Tossed out the fish I took home. It stunk the next day!

Excellent patio dining atmosphere. Food tastes good, but there is too much of it for most eaters.

We waited 25 minutes at our table before I asked the host for a waiter/waitress. After that, the service was excellent. We sat in the outdoor sections which was very nice. The food was very good but I thought the price was a too high for the overall experience. I personally won't be a return customer.

My wife and I came to eat on the recommendation of a friend. We were not disappointed. The portions were much bigger than expected and the taste was phenomenal. Maybe next time order one meal to share so we won’t have to take left overs. Antonio, our server, was great. He was very knowledgeable and helpful. He was definitely on top of things, e never had to wait for a thing as he was consistently checking on us. Will definitely come back again.
