Borsch, Vodka and Tears is a Melbourne institution currently celebrating 20 years at the colourful end of Chapel Street. Styled after a Kraków cellar bar, Borsch is a romantic Bohemian enclave, the home of the Green Faery, an ode to a hazy and debauched bygone world. We specialise in Polish vodka, vodka-centric interpretations of classic and modern cocktails, authentic wormwood absinthe, Eastern European beers, contemporary Polish dishes and late night fun times.

I’ve been coming here for 10 years and even after moving to Sydney no visit to Melbourne is ever complete without a visit to BVT. Love it

Great place for vodka drinks, the watra raspberry leaf tea is fabulous, perogies, cabbage rolls and potato pancakes! Casual atmosphere but the wait staff do tend to chat amongst themselves rather than focusing on the customers. Great place for a Polish/Ukrainian dinner!

Just like Babcia used to make. Fantastic Polish favourites and comfort food. All the traditional dishes and more. Excellent vodka and cocktail selection. Excellent service. A heads up that 90 minutes is all you have for a Saturday night booking.
