Food was lovely but..... we had to get a banquet as there were 9 of us and unfortunately we got charged $100 service fee (10% of bill), definitely not worth that - service wasn't that great and dessert took a long time to come out. Two of the meals were changed on the day (expecting salmon and tapervino mess, got anchovies and 3 x tiny slices of chocolate cake between 9 people) - also got charged $16.30 for using the credit card - probably wouldn't eat there again due to these ridiculous extra charges.

After being seated and told some water would be coming it took a further 15 mins before we were able to get a waiter's attention and ask to order as we had theatre tickets. The food was good, albeit expensive for the portion sizes. A single skewer of herbed chicken was $15 each, and was tasty, but they served it on metal skewers which were scalding hot and the waitress failed to warn us about handling them, resulting in a burn on my hand. A second glass of wine we ordered.when our the main course was delivered failed to arrive (it was not on the bill so was apparently forgotten, although gluten free bread ordered at the same time did arrive). The food is good and quite tasty but the service let them down this evening.

Expensive for a table of 10, average food quality, automatic 10% surcharge included which was unknown prior to dining, service was slow (felt like deliberately slow to encourage more drinks orders).

Good food and wine. The night we went they had a lot of late bookings which put the staff under some pressure. Food was served promptly but getting the attention of staff at times took a longer than expected.

I’ve been going to Born for years now and it’s incredible that the quality of the food & service is always fantastic. The tapas is amazing (thank you chef!) and they have an unbeatable wine list. On our visit last week, Tommy looked after us and could not have been more helpful or professional. It was great to see Javier too, who always makes us feel welcome. This really is Sydney’s best tapas restaurant. Highly recommend.
