The American steakhouse is an iconic restaurant institution. We’d wanted to tell that story for years, but waited until we had the skill, talent and ability to execute it properly, and the right space to be our canvas, an important corner in Little Italy, a neighborhood where we have deep roots. We brought an almost academic appreciation for steakhouse history and tradition to Born & Raised, while trying to stay relevant and authentic to ourselves and our city. Our dry-aged beef pays tribute to earlier, earthier, pre-government grading practices and is the centerpiece of a meal best savored at a slow pace. A timeless celebration of everything that makes restaurants so special. - Consortium Holdings. A 4% surcharge is added to all guest checks.

Le lieu est tout aussi excitant que les steaks dans cet établissement de Little Italy. Le restaurant Born & Raised détourne le genre du steakhouse à l'ancienne en affichant des photos de légendes du rap dans sa salle à manger entièrement dorée et ultra-glamour. On y trouve les fameuses grillades, ainsi que des chariots qui préparent des cocktails vintage à table. Le résultat est un steakhouse qui en fait trop, idéal pour les plus grands flambeurs.

Fantastic meal at Born and Raised. The steak sampler was such a cool concept. I loved being able to try the American and Japanese Wagyu beef. The service was also exceptional. I unfortunately did not get there early enough and couldn’t stay late to have a drink at the bar upstairs, but it looked really cool. I would recommend trying to work that jn. Great experience!

Took almost 30 minutes for someone to come to the table.. nice guy, said they didn’t tell him that we were his table. Service throughout dinner was just a bit scattered and confusing. Food was good, not amazing. Dry aged NY was wildly tough. Classic ribeye was good. Apps great across the board including the bone marrow and snails. We love spicy, but weirdly the broccolini side was crazy spicy. Hash browns, Mac, mushrooms all solid. The cocktails were great.. glass wine has pretty small pours but no problem there.

Everything was great. We had the filet and catch of the day. If you have enough room don’t skip out on the carrot cake so delicious

It is a lovely venue. Staff were so kind and helpful. Service was a tad slow for my liking but not due to server. Food was good. Very noisy which is why 4 not 5 stars.

It was our first time here and our last night visiting San Diego. This was the best restaurant to end our trip! The service and ambiance was amazing. The servers were all so friendly, warm, and tentative. The ambiance with the decor and the view of the city took this experience to another level. I have no complaints and would definitely recommend this restaurant. 10 stars!

A premier experience. This restaurant group has it dialed in. The art deco design, ambiance, service and incredible food make it a total win. We sat upstairs with a view of downtowns and little Italy. The filet, the burger, table side ceasar, the escargot, and the COCKTAILS were all home runs. The sauce and texture of the halibut was outstanding. This is an awesome experience.

We just came for drinks but the server was very nice and knowledgeable, and the decor was gorgeous. We were seated upstairs and there’s these beautiful floral columns up there. We got the espresso martinis which were delicious! They have a thick cream on the top which we really enjoyed.

What a beautiful experience the ambiance, the professional and attention to detail. The atmosphere was great, and the food was even better. Get a table on the rooftop, we celebrated our 16yr at B&R and it didn’t disappoint. We got the steak Diane which was prepared tableside,also order the roasted mushrooms, broccolini, side king crab and the vegetable pie and cheesecake to go. The meal was excellent the server was excellent everything was an A++
