The American steakhouse is an iconic restaurant institution. We’d wanted to tell that story for years, but waited until we had the skill, talent and ability to execute it properly, and the right space to be our canvas, an important corner in Little Italy, a neighborhood where we have deep roots. We brought an almost academic appreciation for steakhouse history and tradition to Born & Raised, while trying to stay relevant and authentic to ourselves and our city. Our dry-aged beef pays tribute to earlier, earthier, pre-government grading practices and is the centerpiece of a meal best savored at a slow pace. A timeless celebration of everything that makes restaurants so special. - Consortium Holdings. A 4% surcharge is added to all guest checks.

D'après les éditeur·rices d'OpenTable : Le lieu est tout aussi excitant que les steaks dans cet établissement de Little Italy. Le restaurant Born & Raised détourne le genre du steakhouse à l'ancienne en affichant des photos de légendes du rap dans sa salle à manger entièrement dorée et ultra-glamour. On y trouve les fameuses grillades, ainsi que des chariots qui préparent des cocktails vintage à table. Le résultat est un steakhouse qui en fait trop, idéal pour les plus grands flambeurs.

Amazing experience!!!! Downstairs is loud, upstairs is heated well, quieter and absolutely perfect! Ask for upstairs / patio. The food was phenomenal, service was perfect (tableside Manhattan was a show and delicious!!!). Definitely wouldn’t hesitate to come back!

Amazing food and service. Attention to detail was outstanding. Extremely busy and made it quite a loud dinner but would highly recommend!

We always love dinner here. The room is beautiful and the ambiance is perfect, but what makes this our favorite is how good everything is. The quality, taste, preparation, presentation. All of it is perfect. The service is impeccable too.

Our reservation was for 6:30. It took until 6:55 to seat us, and another hour to get our food. They ran out of one of the sides we ordered, and the steak was fairly bland. Good service, and the carrot cake was delicious.

My wife and I enjoyed dinner here while on our honeymoon. Everything tasted amazing, my wife isn’t much of a steak eater and got the table side caesar salad and we shared the mac n cheese and potato puree sides, and I enjoyed a ribeye. We ended up with lots of leftovers, and decided to get a desert here despite being full because hey why not. Everything was amazing including the bread and butter as an appetizer and my two drinks with dinner and the total was just over 200 bucks. Can’t speak for downstairs seating but sitting on the rooftop as the sun is going down while enjoying amazing food was a highlight of our stay in San Diego. Highly recommend this place
