The American steakhouse is an iconic restaurant institution. We’d wanted to tell that story for years, but waited until we had the skill, talent and ability to execute it properly, and the right space to be our canvas, an important corner in Little Italy, a neighborhood where we have deep roots. We brought an almost academic appreciation for steakhouse history and tradition to Born & Raised, while trying to stay relevant and authentic to ourselves and our city. Our dry-aged beef pays tribute to earlier, earthier, pre-government grading practices and is the centerpiece of a meal best savored at a slow pace. A timeless celebration of everything that makes restaurants so special. - Consortium Holdings. A 4% surcharge is added to all guest checks.

D'après les éditeur·rices d'OpenTable : Le lieu est tout aussi excitant que les steaks dans cet établissement de Little Italy. Le restaurant Born & Raised détourne le genre du steakhouse à l'ancienne en affichant des photos de légendes du rap dans sa salle à manger entièrement dorée et ultra-glamour. On y trouve les fameuses grillades, ainsi que des chariots qui préparent des cocktails vintage à table. Le résultat est un steakhouse qui en fait trop, idéal pour les plus grands flambeurs.

Food was good, not great. This restaurant loves using salt and pepper on everything, so expect that on all your dishes. Waiter made a rude comment after my wife ordered a steak, asking her “are you going to eat that by yourself?” He wasn’t joking either, so I’m not sure what conclusion he was trying to come to or why that information was important to know.

Got the Valentine’s Day four course menu- the dishes were nice but nothing too exciting. I may just be picky about my steak, but I found the filet mignon chewy and bland. Too loud to hold a conversation. Great service, took dietary requests very seriously. Overall a fun time but probably only a one time visit.

It was definitely food… for the price I don’t think id come back here, wait per course took forever we didn’t expect to have close to 3 hour dinner, And I typically don’t mind a wait but for that price??? Definitely better as a bar vibe

The staff were so attentive and helpful, the view was incredible on the second story, the food was delicious overall. There were a few dishes that needed an extra layer, or some more depth. For example, the king crab salad was tasty but needed some citrus or something to make it pop a little more.

This was my second time here, we tried the bread as an appetizer, definitely one of my favorite things on the menu—garlicky, fresh, soft & fluffy with a whipped butter. The Mac and cheese was also quite good and everything you’d want in a Mac. The dirty hash browns were also great, perfectly crispy and well-seasoned. The 18oz ribeye was decent but overpriced for what it was; a little bland but the sauces helped, my personal favorite of the 4 sauces was the bordelaise. We also ordered the carrot cake and Black Forest cake. The carrot cake tasted tangier and not as dense and delicious as the first time. The Black Forest cake was dense, chocolatey, and not overly sweet—I preferred it over the carrot cake. Overall service was great and definitely upped my rating but food was not impressive enough to justify the cost.
