The American steakhouse is an iconic restaurant institution. We’d wanted to tell that story for years, but waited until we had the skill, talent and ability to execute it properly, and the right space to be our canvas, an important corner in Little Italy, a neighborhood where we have deep roots. We brought an almost academic appreciation for steakhouse history and tradition to Born & Raised, while trying to stay relevant and authentic to ourselves and our city. Our dry-aged beef pays tribute to earlier, earthier, pre-government grading practices and is the centerpiece of a meal best savored at a slow pace. A timeless celebration of everything that makes restaurants so special. - Consortium Holdings. A 4% surcharge is added to all guest checks.

D'après les éditeur·rices d'OpenTable : Le lieu est tout aussi excitant que les steaks dans cet établissement de Little Italy. Le restaurant Born & Raised détourne le genre du steakhouse à l'ancienne en affichant des photos de légendes du rap dans sa salle à manger entièrement dorée et ultra-glamour. On y trouve les fameuses grillades, ainsi que des chariots qui préparent des cocktails vintage à table. Le résultat est un steakhouse qui en fait trop, idéal pour les plus grands flambeurs.

We had an early reservation (4:45p) arrived on time and was told to wait in the bar to be seated. Not seated till 5 p which was odd to wait fifteen minutes to be seated at such an early seating. Restaurant was empty and no clear reason why they had people sitting in the waiting area of the bar . Nice atmosphere, food was good. Prices were good for the type / quality of food. Baked Alaska for dessert was excellent. Service was just ok , not attentive. We had to ask our waiter several times to refill our wine . At the end of our dinner ( around 7 p which) they started playing music that felt clubby . It wasn’t loud but not what I would have liked if that was the start of our dinner. Was a good dinner overall but there are definitely better restaurants in San Diego .

This by far is the best restaurant stop for dinner in all of San Diego! The Espresso Martini’s are FANTASTIC and the steak is AMAZING!! Ask for Daniel the floor manager to take care of your table and make sure to visit Pete the Sommelier to help you with an excellent wine to pair with your meal!!

It was my first time there and it was the best time there. Me and my friend did the dinner for two, steaks and the waygu was the best! Melt in your mouth, we also got the Mac and cheese and the hash browns! Sooooo delicious! Our drinks were 10/10 just like our server! Jonathan did an amazing job making sure we were well taken care of and he didn’t miss a beat! He made the experience and is perfect for the restaurant! 10/10 recommend to everyone !

The dinner was great but our server was not on it. We tipped ahead of time to ensure good service and told them we’re wanting a quicker dinner because we were exhausted. Then it became almost a 3 hr dinner which it never should of been. We sat and had our order ready. We had to keep waiting on our server and asking other servers to find ours so we could pay and leave and it became very drawn out and definitely they were in no rush to help us… very unfortunate but the food was great!

Made a reservation for my husband’s birthday and the attention to detail was immaculate. We enjoyed our time, the food was amazing and our server was always there to answer all of our questions.

Give this place 10 Stars right now. Absolutely amazing, the seasonal cheesecake ohhhh myyyyyy gooodnessss, give the bakery a RAISE right now! The staff AKA Arts and Joshua were excellent
