We were in town for an event and chose this because neither of us had ever been to a Puerto Rican restaurant. Everything was very delicious, the service was great. Laid back atmosphere.

Food was too salty and seemed pre-made (not fresh). Not spoiled just not recently prepared. Server/host seemed annoyed that we were there and that my guest asked a few questions. Location was difficult to find as there us no signage on Canyon.

First time eating Puerto Rican food. The mofongo was our favorite by far. The chicken and rice can be skipped. The steak in vinegar also surprisingly delicious. Would come back. Hope the snapper is available next time because we really wanted to try the fish too.

I had a very negative experience with this place. I made a reservation for my wife and I to have dinner there and when we arrived we were not greeted or even acknowledged for about 15 minutes. When someone finally came over it was a young lady that claimed not to speak English that showed me her cell phone which read “I know you have a reservation but I don’t have the space to accommodate you. We immediately left and on our way out there was a group of about 7 people waiting to get in. We advised the group that from what we were told, there was no space to accommodate anyone but oddly enough they entered and never came back out so I’m assuming that they were taken care off after my wife and I were turned away. Not sure what that was about but they will never have to worry about me spending my hard earned money with them, ever.

Portion sizes of some dishes have been reduced compared to our last visit less than year ago. For example, the alcapurria we ordered today was less than half the size it has been for years. That’s disappointing.

We were disappointed in our experience. The wait staff did not speak English well enough to explain dishes to us. They also told the wrong person their dish was not available. They chose something else but what they originally ordered was served to another person at our table. The food was mediocre.

What a great find!! The servers were so friendly and genuinely excited to share their favorites on the menu. Decor was great. The food was delicious! I’ll definitely be back!

I took my boyfriend here for his birthday dinner. The food was amazing! The service was impeccable. The atmosphere and music were Delightful. My boyfriend said it Was one of the best birthday meals he ever had! Thank you to everyone who made this evening very special for us! We will be back soon :-)

After my dining experience at Boriken, It is now my new favorite restaurant!!! Great Ambiance, Delicious Food, Very Friendly and Helpful Service, Overall a delightful, interesting, cultural experience that helped me feel like I was already on a wonderful vacation! Just what I had hoped for coming to Boriken!
