Chicago’s favorite cabaret & cocktail bar. This year marks the 10th anniversary of Bordel, the Wicker Park cocktail bar and cabaret that has redefined Chicago nightlife through its unique fusion of performance art, live music, and craft cocktails. Since its inception, Bordel has created a space where provocative entertainment, live jazz and creative cocktails converge, becoming a landmark in the city’s cultural landscape.

From the start, Bordel made a point to not only welcome global and avant-garde acts, but to first support and showcase the very best talent in Chicago. Bordel’s stage has featured many of the city's top studio musicians and producers, up-and-coming artists and spectacular limited-run shows. Bordel’s long standing cabaret shows were originally hosted by world-renowned burlesque performer Miss Tosh, Vaudeville by Sally Marvel and AJ Sacco, and are now curated by the inimitable Shimmy LaRoux.

STAGE VIEW TABLES- A $10 PP cover charge will be added for all guests seated in our Stage View table area. This cover goes towards entertainment. By booking and or being seated in the stage view table area, you acknowledge that you understand and accept this charge. Please note that shows generally end by 11:00 PM. When booking a Stage Seating table after this time you will not be charged the Stage Seating fee. Great cocktails, great food (Mama Delia), fun and hot performance. Bordel has been a perfect night out every time I’ve been there.

This place was amazing! Cool, sexy atmosphere! Drinks were fantastic! Short little burlesque show with very entertaining dancers! The host, Pinot Noir, was absolutely hilarious!

Bordel was amazing! We saw the cabaret show and it was great! Food was a bit pricey but very well made and appetizing. Staff were all very nice.

The atmosphere was great! Took my partner to see a cabaret show for his birthday! The entertainment was top notch!

This was the worst burlesque experience I have ever attended. The host came on the microphone multiple times, spending 10-20 minutes each time explaining what the proper behavior is for a burlesque show attendee. She gave rules on how to tip, not to record the entire show, etc. It was very crude, and all of my guests were turned off and shocked by the host's presentations. Additionally, I booked the reservation over a month in advance. My guests began arriving 30 minutes early. We were seated in the back room, in the very last and furthest section from the performance. The front room was empty! We had no idea that the show would only be in the front room, so it was surprising to us that, as everyone else arrived, they were seated in the front room. We ended up being the only guests in the back. When the show started, 1-3 of my guests went to the front room to see the show and figure out why we weren't included. They were told they were not allowed to stand in the room, so we had no chance of actually enjoying the show. I spoke to our waitress and then a manager, and I was told that my reservation did not specify that I wanted to be in the front room. As someone who had never been there before, how would I know that I needed to request seating in the front room for the burlesque show at a burlesque bar? They also told me that, even with a reservation, seating was first-come, first-served. We were among the first to arrive, and the front room was empty! We even saw some people who arrived later, were seated in the back, then moved to the front—so they clearly didn’t have a reservation. We were the last to find out that we weren't going to see the show. To make matters worse, this was my birthday celebration, which I had even noted in the reservation, and the drinks were subpar. Needless to say, we left unhappy and unsatisfied.
