Bonsai is excellent. The food quality, preparation, presentation, and service is outstanding. We live in the Pensacola Beach/Gulf Breeze area and Bonsai is our favorite go to place for an especially good meal. Rob, Calvo, Christina and the whole staff welcome us and ensure we are satisfied with our food and drink selections. Highly recommend you experience it for yourselves.

excellent experience. .. food is outstanding and service is superb. We suggested adding cucumber salad to the meno. The chef created one for us !

Fantastic dining across all culinary areas. Our waiter explained the menu in detail to include information outside the menu applicable to our meal. Chef’s attention to detail, creativity, and taste were impeccable! The chef also took time to visit our table asking for our feedback and offering a test dessert for the upcoming holiday. Lastly, the flavors and taste of each aspect of our meal courses were exquisite! The wagyu beef was sensational, cooked perfectly with its heavy fatty-meat transition. Very tasty flavor hints within the fluffed garnish greens and overlapping the avocado slices in the lobster-shrimp salad were a very nice touch! The Bonsai is a unique high-end Japanese sushi restaurant that caters to a niche palate and wallet. I highly recommend Bonsai to visitors of Pensacola and the beach looking for a unique classy flavorful dining venue!

Pork belly appetizer was amazing and the ramen with squid ink noodles is something I will crave. They need better ventilation in the restaurant itself. As the dinner went on and cooking was happening it got smoky. I’m sensitive to smoke with my allergies so it might not matter to everyone. Just a suggestion for improvement. Overall nice experience for anniversary dinner.
