Great everything. Only problem was the location is wrong on open table. It’s at pier 3, not in the east side of the ferry building.

The menu has a wonderful selection of small plates including truffle french fries that may be the be the best in SF (had I known they were topped with chives, I would have asked those to be held). The croque monsier is a delicious variant from the croissant style using crunch toasted bread instead and we enjoyed adding truffles. JD, our server, was welcoming and marvelously solicitous without being intrusive. We hope to get one of his tables in the future. A word of caution: if you sit against the wall, beware of the footrest that will hit your shin if you focus on the seat cushions!

I’ll review it again as we’ve returned multiple times now: Outstanding, tens across the board, exactly what we were hoping for in our neighborhood. We’ll be back again and again and again. Every dish is just right. The BURGER, omg. Best burger I’ve ever had! The steak frites? Phenomenal. Their au poivre is totally freaking scrumptious. Delicate mignonette, perfect grebiche. Haven’t been for brunch yet, but if their soft scramble is executed as well as everything else leads me to expect, I’m going to request a standing reservation. Atmosphere hits all the right notes. Staff is generous and attentive and experienced, you’re in excellent hands. Classically fresh, nostalgically modern, unpretentiously upscale in every way.

Not great. Service extremely slow. Don’t seam to care about us at all. We ordered and waited 1 hour finally to get our meal and just decided to leave at that point because people that day 20-30 minutes after us were being served first!! Spent $80 for 2 extremely small salads 2 gins and one beer way over priced for what you get also the stills are so uncomfortable

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5 Went back to Bon Delire for a second visit and had an even better experience! Our server, Rebekah, was excellent—really attentive and made the evening feel special. The cocktails were on point, and the ambiance was just as great as the first time. We shared the steak again, and it was just as delicious as I remembered. This time, we tried the sautéed potatoes, which were fantastic—crispy, flavorful, and the perfect side. We also had the special, which was a baked Cameron Bert cheese wheel, and it was absolutely amazing. Bon Delire continues to impress, and I can’t wait to go back and try more of the menu. Definitely a top spot!

We started with the bread and butter which was a rich and creamy brand from Italy. For our entrees we had the different versions of steak frites. One is a NY the other onglet. The steaks come with a delicious sauce with bits of onion. Both were tender and so flavorful. The fries were just as good. Crispy on the outside but soft inside. Desserts were a large serving of chocolate mousse which had a deep flavor and the other (my favorite) was soft serve with poached pear pieces and a brittle on top. Everyone was attentive and so nice during our service!! The restaurant is small and the bar area is really for dining not grabbing a drink. Totally enjoyed and would go back in a heartbeat !!

A totally lovely day for a birthday celebration for a best friend. For a couple of hours we were transported to a Parisian bistro. To a person the staff was professional & friendly & the wait staff made helpful recommendations. Service was impeccable. The restaurant is lovely & lively. And the food was perfection. If you are lucky enough to take the ferry & the short walk & enjoy a delicious leisurely lunch you will not be sorry.
