Following the success of his first restaurant in Vauxhall, chef and founder Ajay Chaurasia has opened a second site in Wimbledon, bringing his own personal take on Indian cuisine to South-west London. On offer is a range of lesser-known regional dishes along with plenty of tried-and-tested favourites so there’s something for everyone at this bright and cheerful restaurant.

Chaurasia’s aim is to bring together flavours from all over the Indian continent, Sharing appetizers includes the likes of king prawns (Tiltala Jhinga) and sticky tamarind wings with avocado chat - a contemporary spin on the classic street food snack. Tandoor highlights include Murgh Hariyali Tikka, which is grilled chicken breast marinated with fresh green spices and yoghurt, as well as vegan options, too.

(Bombay Delight does not use any ingredient that contains artificial coloring agent or flavor in our dishes. We use natural ingredients & products as far as possible to keep consumers healthier & happier.)

Fantastic service and the food is so delicious. Would come here again. Especially they were very patient with us and understanding us. Fantastic theme decoration for Diwali.

Well I’m so happy there are hundreds of food places to eat here in Wimbledon as this is the worse Indian restaurant here in Wimbledon probably in Surrey . Noise level was deafing my ears popped twice while I was eating my cold platter , I had to sign language to my wife directly opposite me to get her attention. The good food so it says on the tin must of been sitting outside in the midnight air for an hour , my lips got frost bite very quick so I gobbled my food up quick to keep me energised. When I asked for a well known side dish ( prawn on purée) they looked at me and never heard of it 🤔 when the staff were dealing with the tables to my right and left I could quite easily see the colour of there underwear which was 3 inch’s from my face we were sitting that close . I never had “ how was your meal sir etc etc “ and to add on £11. 00 service charge on top of the meal was a disgrace . We left within 20 mins or so as I had ringing in my ears and felt dizzy with the stag and hen party fill to the place . Next time … but there won’t be I will be going to Sainsbury for a sandwich and a cup of tea , more appetising than the food I was given here I’m afraid . WARNING Read all …. We were going to the theatre, we told our waiter this and how much time we had. The restaurant is very smart. It is large and was there were a steady number of customers but no way full. We had 3 waiters who attended to us and they were excellent. The food, a simple but delicious chicken teeka masala, which is what we love was superb. The timing of our meal worked perfectly We will return when we go to the theatre again in Wimbledon.

Great value. Food was great. Good flavours and textures. Portions may have been a little larger. Drinks were not overpriced, and the service was polite and timely. The hygiene standards seemed very high. As for value, overall it was very good.

Amazing experience. Staff lovely. Food beautiful. Service amazing. Would definitely recommend. It’s just in the pricey side but is worth it.

Second time we have visited Bombay Delight and unfortunately the food was a bit of a let down. The starters were nice but the two main dishes Lamb Rogan Josh and Butter Chicken did not taste as they did last time. Apart from that, the rest of the food was lovely, the service is 5 star. Would I return back, absolutely yes, maybe for lunch because they have a street menu.

Bombay Delight is a truly lovely restaurant. The staff are welcoming and efficient and courteous. The place is charming in decor. The food was very tasty (especially the chaat bombs, prawn biryani, lamb chops and the Keralan scallop curry) and the whole show gives Dishoom a run for its money. Well done - I'd recommend the restaurant to anyone. I'm also glad it wasn't very noisy. A lot of places are now so noisy you can't have a conversation without straining. We had a baby and toddler as part of our party and again the staff were very accommodating including providing a very delicious chocolate cake for a birthday. The toddler would have finished the whole lot off, if not stopped by us.
