Boho Marché is located in The Francis Hote on Queen Square, right in the very heart of Regency Bath City centre. The cuisine is classics with a twist so savour great flavours that are carefully combined to create a feast on the senses. Dine on indulgent breakfasts, classic dishes for long lunches and a mouth-watering à la carte menu for decadent dinners.

We ate dinner at the restaurant during a short trip to Bath. We were staying at the Francis Hotel where the restaurant is located. The food was really very good, at a reasonable price, and the staff polite and friendly. The restaurant area is attractive and welcoming. We would certainly recommend eating there.

7 pm booking, the restaurant was very far from busy yet we were seated directly alongside another couple. Perhaps a little thought about privacy of conversation?. We could have easily been spaced better. We had a good 3 course meal, nothing extravagant, the service and staff were very polite and not intrusive. The food was acceptable, I had lamb rump, my wife had the fish. The lamb was a small portion, although cooked ok, for me a little over done, the plate had far too much gnocchi. It was described as crispy, it wasn't. It had no colour at all, and left me with the feeling that it was overloaded to make up for the small amount of lamb. We had a pannacotta and a cheese board to finish. I had a glass of red wine and my wife had a glass of white wine. Overall the food was good, the service was good. The bill was £158.00. !!! There is no way, given the meal we had, that this was value for money. We were left feeling that we had been taken advantage of. I would have expected a bill of about £100 for that meal. In comparison, we ate out the following evening, 3 course meal in a turkish restaurant in the city, a bottle of wine, the bill was £102. To conclude, if I return to the Francis Hotel, would I eat at Boho Marche again, sadly no. There is better value to be found in the restaurants in the city.

Quite nice. I wouldn’t dash back. Expensive and I would have expected better than a couple of Jacob’s cream crackers with a cheese board

Perhaps it was the wrong menu choice, the cedar salad was mainly gem lettuce soaked in lots of dressing. The wine was average, and very expensive for what it was. My partners fish & chips ,on the other hand were fine, and the service was excellent.

Starter of cheese soufflé was ok. Batters fish was greasy but chips were nice. Sea bass was swamped with oily sauce which soaked into the already wet mash which made it like a soup around the edges. Mid way through the meal the waiter arrived with another bit of fish as there were meant to be two fillets and we only had one. Didn’t attempt a pudding Won’t be going back or recommending.
