Fabulous experience at the Chef’s Table. A rare privilege being able to dine in the kitchen and watch the masters at work. Stunning food.

Quite simply one of the best meals we have ever had in our lives. We sat in the chefs table and everyone treated us amazingly. Huge shout out to all staff and the head chef who is operating at a standard way above 1 michelin star in our opinion, having dined at 2 and 3 star establishments across the globe. Non fussy, incredibly tasty and very progressive. Certainly not a place that is resting on its laurels!

Booked the Chef's table at the end of October 2022 and I can honestly say it was the best dining experience ever - and we have eaten at quite a few restaurants all around the world! It was our first night in Jersey and it really kicked the holiday off in style and set the tone for a great week. The Chef's Table is excellent - on a slightly raised platform, with it's own aircon - so perfect for being in the kitchen, but not hot. There were 5 of us - and we had plenty of room. The table is right opposite the pass - so you get to see all of the kitchen action and the Head Chef is more than happy to chat to you along the way and serves some of the courses himself - if there is time. We had a dedicated Maitre D' who looked after us so well for the whole evening. None of this scripted description of the dishes that we have sometimes experienced at Michelin Starred restaurants - where the same thing is said to all guests - and just feels impersonal. This was a genuine conversation throughout the evening - which made it much more personal! We had a genuinely excellent evening of good food, perfect wines and great conversation with all the kitchen personnel The wine pairing is excellent value (as is the tasting menu) - so definitely go for that. When we left he kitchen for a comfort break - the restaurant itself is perfect - but it was great to get back into the kitchen again for the atmosphere. Each course was totally memorable in its own right - in fact we have been to other restaurants since October, including Michelin starred ones in London and Cornwall, and we always keep coming back to discussing how excellent Bohemia was! We always want to eat in the restaurant kitchen now - we were so thoroughly spoilt! Bohemia is the total package - so try to book the Chef's Table (unless we want it :) ) and make sure, when you visit Jersey, that it is your first port of call.

Very disappointed that I wasn't contacted either by email or phone regarding the Chiefs table being unavailable for my wife's birthday, more disappointed that our table wasn't even unallocated and staff were suyrprised when we turned up, even when i recieved confirmation of our table earlier that week. Not what i expect from a restaurant of this standard.

Six of us ate at the chef's table. The food - tasting menu - was excellent and the wine pairing very good. Overall an excellent evening. One just needs to watch out for the cost of the bottles of water which were not included and just kept arriving. The optional cheese course is extra and very expensive, but the tasting menu is so good that I don't know why anyone would want cheese in addition anyway.

Second chefs table experience! we had the tasting menu with wine pairing - being able to watch the kitchen team put it all together on a busy night is amazing

We booked the Chef’s Table for my sister’s wedding gift. The day before we were contacted to say that the table had been double booked. We had travelled from London to Jersey for the experience and so couldn’t choose a different day. The restaurant Apologised but said that they would make sure we had a good time. When we arrived we had to mention the mix up to the restaurant as the person showing us to our table was unaware. This was embarrassing in itself as it was a gift for my sister and her husband and having to talk about the mix up in front of her was disappointing. We were compensated with a bottle of champagne. One of us does not drink alcohol. While this is a nice gesture, it was really the experience of the Chef’s Table that we had lost and not food or alcohol. The service during the meal was good but unfortunately we felt like the situation had been handled poorly and this left a black cloud over the evening. Given that this is a Michelin star restaurant and a hotel, we would’ve expected an equivalent experience to have been offered. We won’t be recommending this to friends.

Amazing experience from start to finish! It was so interesting being inside the kitchen watching Steve Smith and his team working so hard throughout the evening. We were celebrating a big birthday for one of our party and he had a fantastic time!
