We really liked the ambience of the restaurant when we first walked in. We were a party of four with reservations. Two large groups came in shortly after us. This made it very noisy, to the point we couldn’t even hear ourselves talk. Server started out with a bang then fizzled. She barely paid attention to us and we kept having to ask for more water, napkins, etc. She kept forgetting what she went to check for us (questions about the menu). She never cleared our plates away at the end of the meal. The appetizers we had were very good. The main dishes had a lot to be desired. We had one of them removed from our bill because it was that bad. In the end we were really disappointed. We expected an upscale dining experience but felt ignored and disappointed with the service and food. We won’t be going back any time soon.

Great menu. Was hard to pick as everything looked delicious. Portions were very good. Wine Wednesdays are a good time to visit. Our server was personable and suggested an excellent wine. All around a great dining experience, definitely will go back

We ate on the patio. They did a great job of trying provide an upscale ambience. However, there's only so much you can do about the neighbouring ambience of the area around you. Noise levels were high at times from traffic and pedestrians. Food was delicious. Portions are smaller and meant to be shared. Service was timely and adaptable to our needs.

Marshal and the service team at Bodega Rose provided an amazing dining experience for the 2 of us and pointed out the Thursday night pasta specials and we enjoyed the pesto and burrata cheese dish and the Miami short ribs! We also enjoyed a bootle of the California chardonnay which was a perfect fusion with our meal!

Fabulous Tapas menu - highly recommend the Halloumi fries! Wednesday Wine Night is genius, staff are extremely diligent and the ambience inside is upscale!

Emma was a fabulous waitress and made my birthday visit super special with a little help from Marshall the bartender. Thanks for making my 45th birthday tasty and special!

I visited the Bodega Rose as part of a Waterloo Strolling group and I was immediately impressed by the decor, menu and the owner who spent his valuable time describing his business. I vowed to return and I’m happy I did. I had the spaghetti and meatballs and it was delicious and the presentation impressive. I dined right at opening so the restaurant was still empty so my service was excellent and the place was quiet. I plan to return when it might be busier and I can try some of the other promising items on the menu, especially during Wine Wednesday when most available bottles are offered for $30.
