   Service was very unsatisfactory , all servers were not experienced. Food was average, pasta tasteless, asked for gravy several times, delivered when the food was finished. Would not recommended it.

   The food is expensive and really poor quality the truffles were inedible and the food more generally felt like high street Italian restaurant quality . Massively overpriced for low quality food.

   Great vibe, lovely live music and delicious food. The calamari is to die for and the tiramisu is so good. The music was a bit too loud so if you want more of a calm ambience, this isn’t for you.

   The food is good, heartwarming italian but that in itself is why it gets 1 star for value. £200+ for a starter and pasta main with 1 bottle of wine (the cheapest on the menu, the wine list is extortionate, with no value here at all) for 2 is just OTT even at London standards. You can get a much better meal and drinks elsewhere for the same price or less.

   Nice experience, wouldn’t go rushing back as plenty of other places to try. A bit on the expensive side for ok meals but all round had a nice evening.

   Been to Bocconcino now 4 times and every other time we’ve had a great experience. Last night was poor in comparison and didn’t live up to our expectations. Staff didn’t engage with us at all in conversation, not even when they came to take the order. The staff seem to have changed to a much lower quality. No one checked our food was ok - it wasn’t the pizza I had was cold and tasteless. When they bought the food over they couldn’t even confirm what they were putting in front of us. Really disappointing experience overall. When I complained the manager who came over he didn’t really know how to handle it. Made me question if I would return back here again now. A shame as it was one of our favourites when visiting London.

    Don’t bother- save your money and go elsewhere! Went to the Soho branch for a birthday celebration to have the Sunday Italian buffet and was treated very rudely by the manager, who basically accused me of lying! I had called in advance (using the number for Boccocino on the website) to check about gluten free options for my friend and was told as it was a buffet, that my friend could order from the a la carte for main as they don’t do gluten free pizza or pasta so went ahead with the booking however; when we mentioned it on arrival, the manager told that I couldn’t possibly have been told that as all of his reception staff are trained well and know that’s not the case so wouldn’t have told me that. He then waited for me to scroll my call history and find the number I called to even verify that I’d actually called them and then went on to tell me that it was a generic Boccocino number not their branch number even though that’s the only one available- no apology, no effort at making amends, basically tough luck- not a great start to the celebration meal! We decided to stay anyway and persevere but honestly, we really should have just left and spent our money in one of the hundred of other places in Soho as the service here was patchy at best (they brought said gluten free friend a roast with a Yorkshire pudding and gravy after she told the waiter specifically that she would have the roast (as that as the only thing she could eat) but without the Yorkshire or gravy that have gluten. The food was very mediocre- they definitely don’t taste as they cook as the pasta was so oversalted (we ordered it twice in case we got unlucky the first time, but both were the same) that no decent chef could taste it and think otherwise. Such a disappointment- will not be going back!! I suggest you learn from my lesson and don’t either. It’s a real shame as the decor is lovely but it’s a real case of style over substance here.
