Great service and good food . Would go back again . A few things were not available such as the chorizo which was disappointing

Amazing food, lovely decor, cozy, great for spending a fabulous evening with friends. My third time here and most definitely coming back!

Really helpful staff, friendly and helpful in advising how many dishes to order. Lovely relaxed atmosphere. Really enjoyed it.

Surprisingly this has 4.7 stars on Google at the time of writing. It doesn’t live up to that. The first warning sign came when we got a bowl of the melted provolone served with cheap white cold and undercooked “French stick”. They hadn’t even bothered to toast the bread. It’s like someone went to the supermarket and bought the cheapest baguette in Tesco (that’s doing a disservice to Tesco, sorry). We asked for the bread to be toasted - it was edible then. Our second round of cheese required the same sending back of the bread to the kitchen (pay attention guys). The £28 for 250g of skirt steak was tasty but not medium rare as requested. It was hacked up by someone who didn’t understand either consistency or presentation. Why not slice the meat attractively across the grain so you can see it’s nicely cooked? Empanada was frankly dreadful (chicken saltena). It had been dunked in a fryer rather than being baked (it wasn’t like the fried ones in South America where it was crispy) and was cold in the middle. Dull and uninspiring. Padron peppers were good but portions tiny for the money. Croquettes served randomly on a handful of supermarket bagged salad leaves… It’s a good spot but it needs to be executed with more passion for the food and with an eye for quality on the table / plate. As it stands it’s below average and thus overpriced.

Very nice place, the staff is very polite and welcoming, nice atmosphere and good for chatting. Food is nice, but not outstanding. I would probably go back more for the atmosphere than the food.

A nice spot and concept that hold so much promise but yet could be so much better. Price points looked okay until you realise how tiny the dishes are. The menu felt confused as a mix of Spanish, Italian and Argentine (some of you will tell me that’s Argentina…). Hefty mark up on the wine list. But the steak was good. Won’t rush back in a hurry though

10/10 experience all around! Lovely ambience, amazing staff and incredible food. Everything we ordered was super tasty and our waitress made a suggestion to try the flap steak rather than something else we ordered - it made our meal.

Friendly staff, and nice food, however, the portions were meagre, ie the empanadas were priced at almost £5, but only one small empanada was served. There was little to no ambience. We won’t be rushing back. Also, it was not clear from the outside that it was the Bocas restaurant, no signage.

Could have done with a few more options for gluten free but what I did have was very tasty. Great service and a lovely big table that was easy to move around so I could chat to all my guests.
