I used to love this place but think the value is not as strong as it used to be. It's pricey so I expect the kind of service you get at high end restaurant and it just wasn't there. And the steak was good but not amazing for the price (we ordered the porterhouse which was close to $90). I do like that the don't charge you separately for the potatoes. My biggest complain is really the service, there were long waits to get our second round of drinks, salt and pepper, get the check, etc.

The parking was terrible getting in and out of the facility was terrible. The food was average. The service was poor. The noise was very loud.

Unfortunately for the price tag at the end of the meal, my husband & I both agreed, we would go elsewhere next time. We waited a long time for our meal even though we had a reservation. Very much felt like they made sure we finished our bottle of wine before food came so that we’d be forced to order another with our meal. That’s an extra $100 tacked on to the bill, minimum!! For service - atmosphere - food quality and wonderful style touches, you just can’t beat Born and Raised in San Diego. Bob’s Steakhouse was near by for taking grandparents but I won’t be back.

Terrible! Both of our meals were cold. We sent them back but they still came back lukewarm. The ribeye had no flavor. The mahi mahi didn’t taste fresh. The waiter never even made eye contact until it was almost time to get his tip. I had to ask for bread twice and coffee twice. We had to pay $30 to park two blocks away. This place would never survive on its own without the La Costa Hotel patrons to keep it going.

A meal at Bob’s is simply an extraordinary dining experience. From the rack of lamb to the rib-eye steaks, everything was prepared to perfection. You cannot go to Bob’s without having the creamed corn. It is legendary and ultra delicious. Finally, the carrot cake and cheesecake were to die for. Our waiter, Aiden, was simply magnificent. He was kind, cordial, and extremely attentive. On our ride home, we discussed when we would return!
