Booked a last minute reservation here and had a wonderful time. Food was served very quickly, the brisket and ribs were both extremely tender and very flavorful. Steak was delicious as well and a good size- loved the onion topping, cornbread and shrimp appetizer was just as good. Ambience was nice, dining room wasn’t too loud and our server was very quick and attentive. Pricey but definitely worth it, Bobby Q’s just might be our new date night spot.

Reservation right before closing, they stay active & let patrons sit to finish food without rushing to bother. Do not hesitate to set a late night reservation if grabbing a quick bite for a small party.

The food was great. The portion sizes were excellent The service was excellent. We always like coming to this restaurant. they also have a pretty good bar.

My server was excellent! The corn bread and donuts were heavenly. The pulled pork was mushy/way past tender fall apart. The corn was full of water. And the mac and cheese was fine. I just remembered this place was amazing a few years ago. And it wasn't that this visit.

Frankly, it seems that the experience at Bobby-Q has continued to deteriorate over the past ten years. The brisket was tender enough, but lacked a good chew and the overdose of sauce was clearly a commercial brand. The new frozen shoestring potatoes were a sad departure from the fresh cut ones they used to serve. Bobby-Q is not bad by any means, but it's no longer remarkable. That's sad and very disappointing.

This is usually a great place to eat but this last go around was not the same. The OpenDoor experience was great and the server was very kind. However these issues really were hard to ignore: - Took 36 minutes from the beginning of the reservation to get all the table drinks. - Our appetizers were lost - server mentioned tickets were not printing and they did not know for a bit (server was great) - Not enough servers so we did not get attended too very often...lots of gaps (not asked about ordering full order until 47 minutes into the dinner) - Once food served did not get silverware, even after asking...again I think there just was a lot going on. I did not feel ignored, just forgotten in the shuffle. - Food was good, but for some reason it seemed extra greasy today - not as fresh as other BBQ experiences in the past (this was backed up by the smell of old fry oil that was on my clothing the next day - this has never happened before when we go here). - With all the issues (self-prescribed from the staff) I never saw a floor manager, not once on the floor nor at the table (there very likely could have been - I just did not see that "standard" person checking on the floor and tables). Overall I would still DEFINITELY RECOMMEND this place as we have had many great experiences here and if you like BBQ it is usually a really great place. This could have been a really tough night for the section/restaurant/etc. (we all have them). I only write this review in the hopes that they look to fix the issues and not make them systemic...as a great neighborhood food place deserves to keep going strong.
