In partnership with Linden Pride of the renowned Dante, New York, Bobbie’s has the underground, free-spirited energy of a speakeasy with the refined, sophisticated flair of a Neil Perry institution.

Located in the basement of 24 Bay St, Double Bay, the same Neville Gruzman-designed heritage building as Neil’s pan-Asian-fusion, Songbird, Bobbie’s was named for Linden’s grandfather, the legendary radio broadcaster Bob Rogers, who mingled with the likes of the Beatles and the Rolling Stones in their heyday.

It's all about mid-century furnishings, plush velvet, live jazz, finger food and world-class cocktails. It’s about keeping things in the family: when Linden was 17, he was polishing glasses at Neil’s Rockpool restaurant. In a full-circle moment, they’ve come together to showcase their passion for produce-driven experiences.

We keep a number of tables just for walk-ins, so if online bookings are full, we may still have tables available.

Waiters poor.. seemed v in experienced . We were the only people in the restaurant.. enough staff.. but no one knew what they were doing. Had to ask for an extra menu.. gave us 1 for 4 of us. Didn’t clear the plates in a timely fashion. Will go back when they train the staff better.

Poor business practice to exit clients when venue is half full. Would have been happy to stay longer and spend more but got told to leave when several tables were empty. Understand time limits but it’s madness to move people on when not.

Whilst the ambience at bobbies was great we were exited because there was a perception that there would be other people wanting our table. This was at 4pm In the afternoon and half the place was empty. It was a. Rude experience and not reflective of what was happening in the venue. Others we’ve spoken to have shared this view. We went to Bibo who were far more accommodating. Shame on Bobbies

The perfect place for a first date, the timings cover sharing a bottle of wine or longer having some food. The venue is stylish and high end, making you feel lucky just to be allowed a table. BZ Mr Perry

Warm flat beer not poured at table and chasing for water refills. Apologies offered and a nice mini cocktail offered which was nice. Singer and dj a great idea but not totally professional delivery. We will try again !

Overall experience was mixed. The Bobbie’s martini was great but the huge onion could have been half the size. The lychee martini was overwhelmingly sweet and after providing feedback was kindly taken off the bill. The staff are still quite green in terms of knowledge but were welcoming and eager to please. The music was very loud when we were there from 5:45 for an hour. Beautiful interiors and styling. Overall a fun place to kick off the night.

Such a beautiful venue. Felt welcome since we stepped in until we left. Great cocktails and food. Can’t wait to be back!

You would never believe you are in Double Bay when you step inside Bobbie’s. It has a New York speakeasy vibe and is so “cool” that next week when I take my wife back there I will dress as a Penguin or maybe a Polar Bear. Great for aperitivo drinks and light “bar” snacks before going to have dinner at Margaret’s or Song Bird.

Great venue with awesome ambience. The "Dirty Martini" listed "blue cheese olives" as an ingredient but was served with standard olives. We were told the bar had "run out" of blue cheese olives. It is an expensive drink to be served without a key ingredient.
