In partnership with Linden Pride of the renowned Dante, New York, Bobbie’s has the underground, free-spirited energy of a speakeasy with the refined, sophisticated flair of a Neil Perry institution.

Located in the basement of the same Neville Gruzman-designed heritage building as Neil’s pan-Asian-fusion, Songbird, Bobbie’s was named for Linden’s grandfather, the legendary radio broadcaster Bob Rogers, who mingled with the likes of the Beatles and the Rolling Stones in their heyday.

It's all about mid-century furnishings, plush velvet, live jazz, finger food and world-class cocktails. It’s about keeping things in the family: when Linden was 17, he was polishing glasses at Neil’s Rockpool restaurant. In a full-circle moment, they’ve come together to showcase their passion for produce-driven experiences.

Please note: while guests have the option of reserving a table, we do keep a number of tables just for walk-ins so if online bookings are full, we may still have tables available.

The matredee very welcoming and perfect for the role. The wait staff clueless and do not fit the bar environment. More like librarians. It took us 20 mins to be served so we had to wave them down and ask if we could order a drink. With the 45 minute reservation time pressure, we thought not ideal. But if I was the owner and I set that precedent, the key is churn so you want the guests served quickly so you get two drinks out of them for the time period. Not one which is all they got out of us.

Very nice venue with good drinks and food. Super noisy so don't expect a lot of conversation.

Confusion at the entry between the ‘Bouncer’ and girls at the front letting you in as they were not organised in allowing people like us who had a booking and others who didn’t. After 20 minutes of waiting in the queue we approached the front desk girl to highlight that we had a booking and to see what the wait time would be and she apologised for making us wait with others who didn’t have a booking.

Great experience. Will be back again and again! Finally a classy wine bar in Double Bay! Long overdue

To be fair it was about the second night so very new. Drinks were good wine and cocktail. Food was good prawns olives French onion dip Parmesan shortbread and beef patty sandwich. Something sweet to finish custard and poached strawberries. Service was slow and not that friendly especially front of house. A dj played music which didn’t fit the demographic which was middle aged guests and up nice background music would probably be more appropriate. As our 90 minute booking ended and nearby tables had their third round of drinks the ambiance got louder as did the conversations. Overall room for improvement but early days. I would have nice live music and iron out the service. Fit out is nice and entry through the curtains special. I think it needs to find its identity.

Bobbies was easy , cosy and comfortable in all aspects ! great atmosphere and service was amazing , staff are hospitable and obliging with all request’s effortlessly . Enjoyed music , overall a great place to relax, unwind and enjoy your evening. Thankyou all involved it was a brilliant evening.
