The Boathouse experience begins with a drive along the shores of beautiful West Grand Traverse Bay and its sparkling blue waters.

The entire experience was wonderful, but I gave the food 4 stars due to the scallop not being the greatest. It wasn’t bad, but mine was a bit rubbery. All other food was great. My girlfriend had the chickpea cakes and said it was delicious. I had the Wagyu and it was also delicious. Overall it’s a total recommendation!

If you have a chance, go to the Boathouse. Everything about this place is special— the ambiance, the vibe, the friendly efficient service and the food… especially the food. We both had the salmon and it was the best salmon entree I have ever had… tender, full of flavor!

The wagu steak was very good but hard to cut (perhaps a dull steak knife?). The salmon was way too salty and my husband had some digestive issues with it. The blueberry/peaches desert was taken off our bill due to dryness (a piece just cut flew off the table into my husbands lap). The view was fabulous which made the high price a bit more tolerable.

We love coming here when we visit Traverse City. The food was excellent and we always get our favorite table by the corner window. Darius is a wonderful server!
