Sitting proudly on the northern Morse Lake shoreline between State road 31 and 37 is where you'll find downtown Cicero, a happy-go-lucky lake town. And where the Boathouse Kitchen & Swan Dive calls home.
Resting alongside the water’s edge, all you need to do to find us is look for the red, white and blue, listen for the sounds of neighbors and new friends as they gather, and let the scent of freshly prepared food draw you in.

Came in and got seated right away. Waitress was friendly manager. Food was hot and there was a ton of it. Really good

Great location and staff. Lucille did an awesome job taking care of all patrons. Food arrived very fast and cooked perfectly. The live music was an added bonus. Great evening with my wife and boys.

We loved our igloo dining experience! The restaurant is decorated so cute for Valentine’s Day. The Super Duper Steam Pot was phenomenal and they have amazing seasonal cocktails. Our server Luci was phenomenal.

We love eating at the Boathouse. The food is good. We did order the chicken nachos which came without the chicken (it was rectified very quickly.) Our server was fantastic! I will say that I think the drinks are too pricey for the amount. My mixed drink had way too much ice in it, and it probably only had about a half an inch of actual liquid. I certainly can't be the only one to notice this!

Service was good. Food was mediocre. Several of us ordered soup and it was brought out with our entree instead of bringing it out early. Our soup was not hot when it arrived and our entrees cooled down in the process. But, our server was very nice. We told her we were 4 friends just wanting to talk, visit and catch up and not in any hurry so she did not pressure us (it was Monday and they weren't busy). Unfortunately, as always, the food was mediocre at best. I ordered fish tacos and the fish was so tough I could not eat it as a taco - I had to take it out of the shell and cut it with a knife. Friends who ordered the steak and potatoes said it was just "okay". Fortunately, we were there for the friendship and not the food and we went there for convenient location as we are locals and it was snowy and cold and none of us wanted to drive far. One beer, soup and fish tacos plus tip was $42.

The Boathouse was so fun! The Christmas decor was whimsical and they have igloos you can dine in. We ate inside in a booth in the bar and it had several televisions with football games on. The menu had great choices… we had fish & chips and the shrimp boil pot. Both were excellent! We will definitely be eating here again!

As always the Boathouse delivers in every way! Since remodeling the bar area the atmosphere and privacy of patrons is much appreciated! Our favorite is the Wednesday night “Music Bingo” always a great time!
