With one of the most picturesque dining settings in Coronado, the Boathouse is situated on the water, where you can enjoy the romantic views of Glorietta Bay. The iconic cupola-adorned landmark was built in 1887 as a design prototype for the Hotel del Coronado located across the street.

Bluewater Boathouse may be reached by water taxi, the Coronado Bay bridge or via the Silver Strand. The upstairs lounge host Happy Hour, Sunday through Thursday from 3:00pm till 6:00pm and dinner service Friday and Saturday at 4:00pm. Banquet rooms are available for day or evening rehearsal dinners, wedding receptions, corporate events and military functions. Surrounded by historical character, stunning views of the Bay and a pristine fresh menu, Bluewater Boathouse is a must see culinary destination.

We have travelled a bit, dining out is a special part of our travels. 40 states, 2 continents and 12 countries. We have never experienced the quality of table service and attention that my wife and I received from Paul the night we chose Bluewater as our dining experience for the evening after many recommendations from locals.

The food was not to the level it should be for a restaurant of this size and the price level they offer. All the food was over cooked, salty and looked tired and just not fresh nor good quality! A professional chef would not let such a poor quality and poor presentation get out of the kitchen like that! Just very disappointing we will not go back

Our server, Ashley was wonderful! Thank you!! We had a great table outside- ambience and temperature great! My husband had the clam chowder which was great ( he had had it before). I had the pacific snapper which was not that good. Little taste to it. The risotto with it was cold. We dined here a few days However, our friends had the calamari steak and enjoyed it a lot. Previously when we dined here, I had the trout almandine which was perfectly cooked and everything delicious We will be back for another time as is so convenient from the Shores.
