With one of the most picturesque dining settings in Coronado, the Boathouse is situated on the water, where you can enjoy the romantic views of Glorietta Bay. The iconic cupola-adorned landmark was built in 1887 as a design prototype for the Hotel del Coronado located across the street.

Bluewater Boathouse may be reached by water taxi, the Coronado Bay bridge or via the Silver Strand. The upstairs lounge host Happy Hour, Sunday through Thursday from 3:00pm till 6:00pm and dinner service Friday and Saturday at 4:00pm. Banquet rooms are available for day or evening rehearsal dinners, wedding receptions, corporate events and military functions. Surrounded by historical character, stunning views of the Bay and a pristine fresh menu, Bluewater Boathouse is a must see culinary destination.

Such a beautiful spot for a lunch after a morning of biking! Refreshing salads and fresh, beautifully prepared fish. Will definitely return when back on Coronado!

Overall, I found this to be a very pleasant restaurant. It was not too stuffy. Nice vibes all around and I would eat here again! The Alaskan King Crab Legs were awesome!

We always enjoy eating at Bluewater Grill when we visit Coronado Island. There is convenient free parking across from the Hotel Del Coronado. The restaurant is close enough to the beach for a walk along the ocean-front path. Bluewater Grill is a better value than the high-priced venues across the street without the crowds and construction.

Took my family there for my wife’s 50th birthday because the menu looked great and the location is awesome. In spite of letting them know of the special occasion, we were seated at a lousy table even though better were available. Then, they didn’t acknowledge my wife’s birthday until the very end. service wasn’t very attentive even though the restaurant wasn’t full. Oh, and the food was basically “meh”. Wasn’t terrible but probably won’t go back.

This is one of our favorite restaurants in Coronado. We have been going here for years. Service is always fantastic, food always consistently great and ambiance and views are. Great especially when sitting outside.

We had to reschedule our reservation and found this restaurant to be extremely helpful in finding another time which worked for us. The server was pleasant (for the most part- seemed annoyed when we couldn't decide on dessert and she had to come by twice). Food was fabulous, adjusted to our allergies with no complaint. Try the swordfish, grilled. Definistely an eatery you want to visit if you're in the Silver Strand area!
