Bluestone American BBQ features a Latin American spin on authentic low and slow traditions from the US BBQ belt. Chef Alvaro Malel draws inspiration from his Uruguayan heritage, and his passion for cuisines from both American continents to reimagine smoked classics like Yearling Beef Short Rib with chimichurri, and Pit-Braised Pulled Lamb with salsa criolla and arepas.

His talent for bringing together the best of North and South American food traditions has been a drawcard for diners across Melbourne since the restaurant opened seven years ago. He credits the success of Bluestone to his Uruguayan culture and heritage, which is all about “food, family and fire…BBQ is a feature of all my best memories. There’s no better way to celebrate milestones, or to just kick back and have fun with the people you love. Bluestone has always been about creating that experience for other people.”

We were very happy with our set Feast 2. We also enjoyed the Lemon Pie, the new coulis was 'berry ' delicious.

Food was excellent as was service! Food came out quickly and everyone was very happy with what they had. Staff were very friendly efficient also. Would certainly go again

We had the weekly special and it was excellent. We will definitely visit again to sample other smokey BBQ delights.

We had the bottomless food & drink deal. The food and service were both excellent and the staff friendly and pleasant. We were regularly offered more food or drinks. I would definitely recommend this deal.

Absolutely the best food i have ever had, my boyfriend and i were in and out within 30 minutes, the food pretty much came out in about 7 - 10 minutes after we ordered and it was still amazing, will definitely go back to bluestone for sure 😁

Attended Sat the 12/10 @ 12pm - (only including the time and date of booking as I wish I remembered the staff names as;) both the wait staff service who were on shift was top notch, very friendly and approachable. The food was great, the only complaint really was the macaroni and cheese was good but not as great as last time. The rest of the food was AMAZING - this is our second time there and will definitely be going again. 9.9/10!

Loved the shared banquet. Very tasty mix of flavoursome meats with vegetables. Just the right amount of food for two people. And the banoffee pie was absolutely delicious!
