Situated on bustling Gun St in the centre of Reading. With a passion for Real American BBQ, it is our quest to bring the genuine flavours of the Southern States to the UK.

For lunch & dinner we serve our smoked meats, all cooked the true American way which means our BBQ pitmasters work around the clock to ensure the 'cue we serve when our doors open is the best you will find - it takes nearly 48 hours of loving care and attention to perfect each of our smoked meat cuts.

For breakfast every weekend from 9am, we serve up freshly made-to-order American pancakes with delicious toppings, as well as fully loaded smoked breakfast plates.

                                                                                                  We were recommended to go here by a friend as we love a breakfast. I can’t believe how disappointing our experience was. It must have just been a bad day. We arrived on time to a near empty restaurant, which I quite liked as I thought once ordered, our food would be out pronto. Wrong! Considering this is breakfast, which is super fast to cook. It took 30 minutes until 3 of our 4 orders came out. The two main breakfasts, the beans had clearly been sat for a while and had all congealed and the scrambled egg looked like plastic at the point of delivery. They also didn’t come with hash browns so I had to chase this up with the kitchen. I had the Benedict, which was the best of the bunch, can’t really complain on that one. I shared some with my daughter as she was going to eat her arm off waiting for her food to come. My poor daughter ordered a breakfast wrap which still hadn’t arrived after we had waited a couple of minutes before we started tucking in. A lady from the kitchen said it would be another 5 mins as the egg needed cooking but I politely said that on the order it stated ‘no egg’ - my daughter would have lost it if an egg would have been put in her wrap. It eventually came and I felt sad for her as she said it wasn’t worth the wait. We went for my father in laws birthday and it was such a disappointment. My partner paid, it was over £60 and I think that’s the worst food we’ve ever bought for the money.

                                                                                                  Very good food and the atmosphere was great as always, it's our favorite place to go on date nights. Would highly recommend the Tennessee sauce.

                                                                                                  Coating on chicken burger was slightly overpowered with pepper. Still enjoyed but not as nice as last visit. Amber was great server. Very attentive.

                                                                                                  The staff were in a bit of a mess with backed up drinks orders and a lot of stress. It seems the ordering systems are not helping them - suggest either order at bar or order at table using QR code, not both. The food tasted great but mine was quite cold. My friend’s main was missing fries but we decided not to complain as the staff were a bit rushed and stressed out. No way to order a liquor with mixer on the QR code menu and couldn’t figure out how to leave a tip via QR code either.

                                                                                                  Booked for Father’s Day breakfast. Food was nice but not one member of staff smiled or was actively welcoming our entire visit. They promoted “bottomless coffee” and my husband asked 4 times for a second coffee, the waitress reluctantly bought over the coffee pot eventually but zero interaction doing so. Very poor service on what was a special treat for Fathers Day. I would recommend as food is food, but don’t expect any decent service.

                                                                                                  Arrived and seated very quickly. Told we can order by scanning the QR code or at the bar which we did no problems. Our food arrived, within reasonable time, but missing items. Had to ask for the toast that should have come with the ultimate plate (supposed to be Texas toast but was no different to my normal toast), then realised I was missing the Vegan Brioche (first thing in the description) so I had to ask for that, the waiter went to the kitchen and came back and told me it will be a few minutes. 7 minutes later I had to ask again. Eventually got it. Coffee is unlimited but we only ended up being asked if we wanted more after we eaten and getting ready to go. 2 other tables close to us had some issues too.

                                                                                                  Absolutely loved it. Food was so tasty and easy to order. Service great. As I’m diabetic I had to avoid fries and carbs. Good choices but BBQ burnt end portion size was a little on small side and had to choose two sides to compensate. Delicious though.

                                                                                                  Called up to say we were running a bit late for our booking and spoke to a very polite lady who offered to move our booking to a later time. We arrived and was seated straight away, the lady explained the QR code to us and our food came out in good time. The food tasted amazing as always and all the staff were very polite and attentive.
