    The server was polite, but he never came over to check on us after the food was delivered to the table. There was no follow-up to ask if everything was ok or if we needed anything else. The sandwiches were very good and the desserts were also very good. The scones were over-baked and dry and tiny. We had to flag down the server to get more hot water and that was delivered, but again, no ask if we are enjoying everything or if we needed anything. We waited forever for our bill and put our jackets on for 5-10 minutes as a signal that we were ready to leave and no server. He was addressing an issue with the table beside us and dealt with them and left. We finally had to flag him down again to ask for the bill. He brought it and asked us to please fill out the survey for him. We did bring-this-up with the front desk person and she was very apologetic and offered us a drink. She was very concerned and did advise she would let the manager know. Even though the restaurant was quite quiet - we were seated by a table that was quite loud. It would have been nice to have had the option to be spaced out.

    Dear Randy, Please accept my sincere apologies that you were not checked upon at any stage of your meal as that should be a standard during service to check on the food, if you require anything over and above what you have initially ordered and to ensure that you are happy. Also that we kept you waiting with extra hot water and the bill and that the scones were small and dry which has been passed on to the pastry chef. And we shall offer a choice of tables in future to all guests as some do prefer the windows but some to be secluded. With apologies but best regards, Rachel

    What a wonderful spacious dining room with first-class service and delightful staff. Our Senior Server, ARIANE, was absolutely superb.....performing his role in a manner you would expect to find in a three Michelin star restaurant. Every dish we ordered was excellent. A great experience.

    Mouse was running around the restaurant so ruined dinner and medium steak was so rare we couldn’t eat it. Didn’t have to pay so was good value in the end

I have spoken to the manager who dealt with this on the night and he reported this immediately and our pest control company were on the premises as swiftly as they could get here. I know that everything was removed from your bill so I hope that means you can see how seriously we take this and do all that we are allowed to do to stop this happening.     The bluebird was disappointing from start to finish .For all seven of us the food that we ordered was disappointing . The taste was poor and portions very small . It’s an expensive place so we felt the overall experience wasn’t even average . Service was slow and we had to keep asking for attention . Service charge if 14.5% was added to the bill at the end .

    We’ve dined here a few times and the food and service are always excellent. The ambience in the bar beforehand is also worth arriving a little earlier for. This time we dined on a Saturday rather than a Sunday/week day and discovered that at 10pm on Fridays and Saturdays, this stunning venue turns into a club. We are not talking a smooth transition into a more upbeat/Saturday night cocktail bar vibe, it means that at 10, half way through our main course (we were out for an anniversary meal), extremely loud dance/house music fills the whole space, making conversation over dinner completely impossible. Of course it’s fine if the venue chooses to change vibe but they should make diners aware when booking that this will be the case. With a reservation at 8.30, which we had to wait longer for, and a very long wait between starter and main, we were left with limited time to enjoy our meal before the music started and left without dessert/digestif. Such a shame as we love this place - this info really needs included in the booking process.

    Dear Claudia, Thank you so much for being a regular guest which means a lot to us and for also noting how on your past experiences that the food and service have always been excellent. On top of that you had chosen to spend your anniversary with us and therefore we are so sorry that we let you down by spoiling the end or your evening. The DJ started to be an issue some time ago as he thought that he needed to have the music blaring and despite us asking him to start slowly he kept pandering to a few guests in the bar and so we parted company. As this is now an issue again I shall speak immediately to the bars manager as we are a restaurant and not, as you say, a night club. Best regards, Rachel
