Blue Ribbon Sushi & Steak combines traditional Japanese cuisine with a modern day steakhouse. Our menu is varied and extensive, and includes sushi and sashimi, as well as cooked entrees such as fish, lamb, steaks and chops. We feature Domestic and Japanese Wagyu. Blue Ribbon Sushi & Steak is located in midtown Manhattan, at the PENN 1 Building, across 33rd Street from Madison Square Garden and atop Penn Station. The restaurant is accessible from 33rd street, and from the newly renovated Penn Station and 34th Street via the lobby of PENN 1. We offer various seating areas - a sushi counter, a cocktail bar, the central dining room, and an outdoor patio (weather permitting).

The best ribeye I have ever had in nyc. Ive eaten at most of the top steakhouses and this place by far blow them out the water. Crispy rice and bone marrow were phenomenal.

Very good food that I would have again. I only had cooked food, not sushi except for the crispy rice tuna which was very nice. Salmon teriyaki was delicious and fried rice was very tasty. Business companions had waygu steak which they said was excellent. Our server was attentive and nice. Pretty noisy but not overly so.

Highly recommend the delicious garlic shrimp fried rice. Service was attentive and professional. Quite pricey but worth it !

The restaurant is well decorated with a golden color scheme and softly lit pendant lights. Our party of four sat in a comfortable banquette at one end of the room, which was quiet, even with music playing and a half-full restaurant. Everything we ordered was very good: bone marrow on toast, radish salad with salmon skin topping, salmon teriyaki, baby bok choy, tempura onion rings, sushi/sashimi platter, and steak frites. There is an extensive saki menu. The service was perfect: friendly and not obtrusive. For dessert, for the birthday boy, a little dark chocolate ganache cake was presented with a lit candle, a very nice touch. The restaurant provides good value and cuisine.
