Le Blue Plate Oysterette est inspiré par les gratins d'homard estivaux d'East Hampton et les dîners alléchants des restaurants prisés du bord de route de Montauk. Influencé notamment par le Pearl Oyster Bar et le Mary's Fish Camp à New York, il sert le dîner et le souper 7j/7, concoctés avec des produits tout juste sortis des cabanes de fruits de mer de la côte Est pour le dîner et le souper tous les jours. Vous y attendent de copieux petits pains au homard, des seaux de palourdes dans un bouillon si savoureux que vous ne résisterez pas à y tremper votre pain, des soupes de palourdes, des moules dans un bouillon, du ceviche et des fruits de mer crus tellement frais que vous aurez l'impression de sentir l'océan. Comblant le vide de la scène gastronomique du Westside, le Blue Plate Oysterette vous accueille au bord de la plage dans un cadre décontracté pour savourer des fruits de mer et profiter de l'ambiance animée du quartier, apprécié tant des surfeurs que des patrons de studio.

Lots remain excellent and our large party was accommodated very well. Only issues were that Bouillebasse wasn't as good as usual, not enough flavor, and key lime pie which is usually outstanding was a bit thin in taste. I know you can do better although always quite good.

Food was amazing, but the service was slow. We waiting on several items that we asked for (mostly condiments & drinks) and had to remind people multiple times. Since it was Father's Day, I think they were understaffed - our server seemed to be taking care of the entire patio and was overwhelmed. Food was amazing and managers were making the rounds towards the end of our meals to check on us. Still had a great experience and will come back, but the service needed a little help.

Drinks were on point! Ordered heavy apps and everything was delicious! Oysters were divine, the crab dip was to die for, tuna tartare was exquisite, spicy tuna on rice cake was BOMB and old bay fries were yummy

I've been coming to Blue Plate Oysterette since 2011 and have always loved their food, service, and ambiance. However, I can't say the same for my most recent visit. While the ambiance and service were still on point, unfortunately, the food quality and value are no longer on par. Sadly, based on this visit, we will no longer be coming there.

The best seafood restaurant in town, and the only one where you can get steamed Ipswich clams that are prepared the way they do it in New England. In fact, I know of no other restaurants in California that even have them (Bluewater Grill in Orange County has them fried, but not steamed) on the menu.

The oysters, the scallops, the shrimp, and the crab dip were all delicious. As was the fish and chips.

The seafood tower was great way to taste many dishes and Chelsea’s Kyoto oysters were little pillows of joy in my mouth.
