Blue Morel Restaurant and Wine Bar (Named Top 10 New Restaurants in U.S.) combines the finest seasonal ingredients from local, regional, organic and sustainable farms with the culinary creativity of Chef Thomas Ciszak and Chef Bryan Gregg. Nestled in historic Morristown, New Jersey, Blue Morel creates a "Farm to Table" experience serving New American Cuisine, Sushi and a Seafood Raw Bar.

Open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The Wine Bar offers more than 70 wines by the glass and half glass tastings and is available for receptions up to 25 people. For private dining, Blue Morel features the Wine Room, which seats up to 18 guests. For larger events, weddings and bar mitzvahs, elegant rooms are available to accomodate up to 400 guests.

It is not what it used to be. This was one of my favorite restaurants, and it is not any longer. For what was provided, the food was pricey. Used to be pretty regular here but not anymore. I think they need to reset the restaurant and get back to the things which were done so well there.

Disappointing lunch. Chicken sandwich was rubbery, crab cake was barely fried and tasted fishy. The prior meal was great for dinner, maybe an off lunch day? Service was good, it's a nice place, I would try again.

I have very much enjoyed previous experiences at Blue Morel, but this Mother’s Day was sub par. The menu selections were mediocre at best, the service was just ok (had to ask for things multiple times) and the food preparation was not good (boring appetizers, overcooked/dry halibut, poorly described desserts with child-like accompaniments that included chocolate chips) It felt like the chefs decided to not come to work on Mother’s Day and left it for staff to prepare on their own. And for $100 pp and an automatic (and undisclosed) 20% gratuity, the meal was not worth the expense. For the price, I expected much better.

The Mother’s Day 3 course menu was exceptional except the desserts seemed little lazy. The pain au chocolates with cherry was like a chocolate chip muffin with cherries in it. The strawberry verrine was a little weird. I guess they just wanted something they could have ready in advance. Appetizers and entrees were all outstanding.

Very pricey for very mediocre food. This may be because of the Mother's Day fixed menu. The lobster quiche was dry and seemed as if it may have been under a heat lamp all morning. The prime rib was tasty but not worth the price tag. Both dishes were under-sized for the price.

No tablecloths, no place settings, staff shortage, limited menus (no shrimp - mom’s favorite). Bring back the buffet!

I've eaten here several times, and I've never had anything I would complain about until Mother's Day brunch. There was a prix fixe menu, and one of the choices was quiche with lobster. It was by far the worst quiche I've ever eaten. It had little egg filling. It was very dry, and the lobster (which had just been sprinkled over the top) was tough and dry. Also, the dessert my husband and daughter ordered (advertised as pain au chocolat) was weird and tasteless. All the rest of the dishes were delicious, including a fresh pea soup that was amazing.

I would not recommend going when a buffet is served. Call ahead and ask before you go.

This place has gone down hill. Sushi has been dropped from the menu, pork chop was tasteless. I will never go back
