We had a wonderful experience at the Blue Marlin. Upon arrival we were seated immediately. We started with the Ahi Tuna appetizer and the Seafood Gumbo. Delicious! The Ahi Tuna was the best I ever had. For our entrees we had the Pan Seared Scallops and the Blackened Mahi. Soooo good! I had the Lavender Martini and my husband had the Mixed Berry Mule and we shared the crème brûlée cheesecake. Also very good! I would definitely recommend this place.

We were there when they opened, took 1:50 for the meal. After 25 minutes our drinks were delayed due to a party or 20 the bartender was working on. I explained how idiotic it was to make 20 drinks before 2, as a group of 20 would not expect prompt service. The monkey bread was awesome, the Chicken & waffles was equally delicious. I would highly recommend, just don’t expect a quick brunch.

Shrimp and grits had no flavor, gumbo wasn't good at all. Bread was good, wedge salad was really good, was expecting a lot more of the entree in sence of flavor. Was extremely bland

A little light on the martini with luke warm garlic potatoes (instant would be my guess) Makes the experience lacking. Will not be back.

Great meal. All three of us had the steak, Cooked perfectly at medium rare. I also ordered the wedge salad which was very tasty. The wine selection was nice and not overpriced. The wait staff was friendly. Great restaurant.

Blue marlin has always been one of the places we eat when we come to Columbia so we did not hesitate to bring our family to celebrate our 43rd Anniversary. Our guests did not enjoy the food as much as we hoped, seafood platter had burnt crab cakes, the Mahi had to be sent back because it was burnt, as well as the shrimp and scallop dish . The waiters were superb! Overall we had a good evening. I would def go back but not as a group.
